Nini Heart Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 It doesn't work in CS2 though. That's why I hope he's unlearned it. And lol @ blade repping team NAH. Netplay on thursday:( I hope you guys don't forget to practice Marvel.
pochp Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Don't worry, I'm stepping up my marvel. I no longer mash 2A, steb taught me some combos, and stuff like wavedashing (lol I thought you had to 662662662 etc. and I was thinking damn these guys are godlike). But what? 6C shippu doesn't work anymore? that's sad...
flavourjello Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 the netcode is ten times better almost feels like offline lol
BladeOfJustice7 Posted May 17, 2011 Author Posted May 17, 2011 (edited) It doesn't work in CS2 though. That's why I hope he's unlearned it. And lol @ blade repping team NAH. Netplay on thursday:( That motion will never be unlearned. It's the same motion and first combo I learned in guilty gear with ky. While I use it less and less it's an important motion for me. I hope you guys don't forget to practice Marvel. I got my teams synergy down. Gonna star building up thor and then stark, eventually I'll learn hulk/spiderman/wolverine. Just to keep Team Avengers diverse. Don't worry, I'm stepping up my marvel. I no longer mash 2A, steb taught me some combos, and stuff like wavedashing (lol I thought you had to 662662662 etc. and I was thinking damn these guys are godlike). Isn't that the motion for wavedashing? But what? 6C shippu doesn't work anymore? that's sad... That's what I've been saying this whole time. But for every shippu nerf, yukikaze gets better. So wtv, I'll live. But yea I just realized what I said. I'll be tired after my midterm, if I can get enough rest after my exam I'm come out to HQ. the netcode is ten times better almost feels like offline lol Edited May 17, 2011 by BladeOfJustice7
pochp Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 the netcode is ten times better almost feels like offline lol how do you like the new tao? got that j.8D~A loop ready? by the way, saying that online is almost like offline is not a good idea on this website, unless you want to get flammed.
kaeru Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 the netcode is ten times better almost feels like offline lol I'll totally play online with you whenever you like. I'm going to add you when i get home from work, look for my psn name !
Steb Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 @Nini I replied to your post on the MvC3 Zero forum. I haven't been practicing MvC3 as much recently and I still don't have a team, lol. @Blade You can wavedash by pressing two attack buttons to dash, and then pressing down to cancel it. This is the easiest way to do it.
pochp Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 @Steb: instead of saying you don't have a team, just say your most main team is Capt/Thor/Iron Man until you figure it out. @Flavourjello : let's add each other on psn too. Even in CS1, it was fun when we had a room of 3-4 people from the area, the lag was okay. Lol we haven't had psn meetups in forever (with nolan/fred/ntype/brice/vice/kirbster/etc.) :O @Blade : so what did they do to shippu? is the damage just not worth it or it doesn't cancel into from 6C? I don't really see when you'd use that super, ever. Sad because it was hype like excailbur from AH3.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted May 17, 2011 Author Posted May 17, 2011 (edited) @Blade You can wavedash by pressing two attack buttons to dash, and then pressing down to cancel it. This is the easiest way to do it. Ohh that, ohhh ok I get it. Pedro didn't know about dashing with 2 buttons and was doing 66. I subbed 66 for 2 buttons, gosh I'm slow. I find wave dashing is only useful for flyers. They seem to go farther than most characters in one dash. Except for Thor, his wavedash is gdlk. @Pedro, lol EDIT: @pedro again, well it generally does 1k less or so in any combo it's used in compared to cs1. Not only that, but 6c when hitting an aerial opponent sends them flying. Meaning that if you were to cancel in shippu only the projectile would hit them. So yea they nerfed it again. pochp Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Oh okay at least you can still use it. It's trolling value has gone up at least tenfold. Even more on an air hit. Oh and add me to the first post of XBL players, lol. And I find that wavedashing is useful for making giant robots move faster, and funnier.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted May 17, 2011 Author Posted May 17, 2011 Added. Do you have marvel for xbox as well?
T.Kang Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 @Pedro: This is also the reason I don't netplay, bro. True story. Ragna's BnBs are hype. Jin is strong. Hazama has lolwtf combos. And Eb, I just noticed your sig... FUCK YOU LOL.
pochp Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Nope, don't think I'm gonna get MvC3 for xbox. I already have it for PS3, which is enough to train, if I want to play I can just go to Foonzo or HQ, the scene for that game is bigger than BBCS2 here, so online isn't really necessary. Ken, if you need help with Haz combos, I think steb could probably help you. He's got them pretty good iirc.
Sophisticat Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 (edited) DOWNLOADING AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT! HOOOOOOO~~ EDIT: 5m to DL. On wireless. My wireless is top-tier, always has been. I'm trying out Haku's challenges atm, also burning through at the speed of light. Training first, then off to decimate online tonight. HOOOOOOO~ BURNING JUSTICE! Edited May 17, 2011 by Sophisticat

Jin, Ragna and Hazama, my 3 characters and the most overplayed trio ever :D. @Nolan: 5 min on wireless? THE HELL? I have the best connection Videotron can offer and my PS3 won't pick up at least 1/3 of it.
Sophisticat Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 It is the power of Mac. Do you have an Airport, Ken?
pochp Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Stay fanboy and superhero-like, Nolan. http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/lanwan/router-charts/bar/58-2_4-ghz-dn guess which one I have? okay if you can understand what the info actually means, I'm just manipulating numbers, but you know what I mean
T.Kang Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 (edited) I have the Linksys Cisco E3000, isn't it supposed to be good >_>? I thought it was the PS3's shitty wireless network card that sucked real hard or something... EDIT: On a side note, I've been playing around with the 3 characters I've mentioned in my last post and I'm really starting to wonder if I'm changing mains or not. Ragna is as fun as ever but Jin's less pushback on sekkajin makes my salt level go down drastically. That was the thing I hated the most on Jin. Edited May 17, 2011 by T.Kang
mAc Chaos Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 It is the power of Mac. Do you have an Airport, Ken? My power knows no bounds.
pochp Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 @you hakumans, especially you, blade: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIVmjMrpVL4#t=2m23 shippu, it can still be hype. and gimmicky as fuck
T.Kang Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 @you hakumans, especially you, blade: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIVmjMrpVL4#t=2m23 shippu, it can still be hype. and gimmicky as fuck I yelled out loud "HOLY SHIT" when I saw the damage that it did, just wow, awesomesauce. I fucked up my stick's triangle button, which should be my C. Damn you Sekkajin (and of course, SE madcats buttons ._.)
Sophisticat Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Lol, full shippu to bait burst is one of its few legit uses. My power knows no bounds. In MTL, Mac is top-tier.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted May 17, 2011 Author Posted May 17, 2011 I have the Linksys Cisco E3000 lollinksys. Pedro, I still plan on using it, just won't rely on it. Also I got bell's new wireless modems. And I have fibre-optic cables in my area, not my internet is godlike as well. CS2 only took about 10 minutes at most. It's also the reason I hate the internet at my gf's house. Next mission: get a nintendo wii madcatz stick, buy tvc, play tvc netplay at her house with her internet speed. We'll see how long I can play before I ragequit. Maybe I'll make it into a endurance event. Whoever generates the least sodium wins. In MTL, Mac is top-tier. No.
kirbster Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 CS2 netplay day 1 : everyone and their mother plays Jin. I still can't do Ragna's combos. Lambda feels stiff. I wanna marry Rachel.
flavourjello Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Rachel is Amazing :O!! Officially hunting bangs on Netplay at the moment, Tao i need to forget my old combo's to learn the new ones o.o
