CrazyI-nomitsu Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Hmm a big opinion of myself? I suppose this star makes me think like that. Hell I am the least mod like mod on this forum but I think I do my job well considering many of you guys don't have time to do some of the things I do. I really really love playing Tager. On a scale of 1-10 its 25. Normally I save myself the hassle of sounding like a broken record by posting a lot of info but people still miss it. I always thought my biggest problems are: Not being easy to understand. Posting too much info. Sounding like a perfectionist jerk when I tell advice. But I digress, I gave up on trying to do that and considered it part of my nature...I just give too much and expect too much out of myself and others. Also there is a stream of me fighting the Noel mod for 2 or so hours on stream, there is no mic but the matches themselves will leave you laughing and wondering wtf I was doing. @ Ve: Crafty...just crafty. Edit: Dacid is so optimistic it makes me want to find a rainbow and skip on it. Translation: You plan to get into MK9, right? LOL! Axis you should play Jax in that game like me. anyways, you're the funniest mod I have met. Most mods I have met abuse their power and are totally assholes. So don't put yourself down buddy.
A.X.I.S. Posted July 25, 2011 Author Posted July 25, 2011 I am not playing MK...I just don't think I can get into a game that is not soul that has a block button.
CrazyI-nomitsu Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 I am not playing MK...I just don't think I can get into a game that is not soul that has a block button. Aww...Soul Calibur has a block button too. It doesn't really bother me.
FlyingVe Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 MK9 is actually a solid game, a bit shallow, but solid. However, they won't stop fucking with it for more than a few weeks, and Freddy Kreuger? Do they want to be taken seriously?
Dacidbro Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 I just spent about ten minutes thinking of something I could be "more optimistic than" as a funny comparison, but couldn't. So instead, I'm just going to happily brush my teeth and tuck myself into bed.

But I chill out and thought it might not be too bad. Yuo get free classic costumes. You can't beat that.
bblader1 Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Question, I searched through the forums and this thread and I didn't find anything How compatible is Tager with a fightpad? because fuck paying something ridiculous like $300 for a stick
Manta Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Thumbsticks make 360s easy. Thumbsticks also make 360s happen when you wanted 236 motions. Blazblue also only uses four buttons anyway, so you shouldn't need a six button pad unless the buttons are much better than a normal pad's. Also I have a cheapass £30 stick, does okay to me.
Osuna Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Question, I searched through the forums and this thread and I didn't find anything How compatible is Tager with a fightpad? because fuck paying something ridiculous like $300 for a stickYou can probably get one for like 100 dollars, but hyperbole accepted. I rock my Tager on a ps3 Dual shock 3. I worked through it, but I don't recommend it on the grounds that for some reason their d pads are made of sand paper. I hear 720's are easier on stick, but I wouldn't know. I actually don't like most fight pads, I feel like they hover too far out which screws with my sense of location and confidence of direction. I end up having to make much larger motions than on my ps3 pad. On the other hand ps3 pads are very random in quality, can't be repaired and cost like 50+ each, so if you don't have a good one you're half way to a stick already just buying one and if you break that then you could have bought the stick right out. Oh I'm just blabbing now, Tager works out well on pad compared to a sizable portion of the cast.
OrionXElite Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 I started on my 360 Pad and I can still play Tager to about 90% capacity compared to on my Stick. I only need one macro which is ABC on my Right Trigger Just for sake of keeping my hand comfy. The only thing I haven't learned on pad yet is to consistently cancel Voltech Charge into 720. My thumb isn't used to the motion like that yet so I'm kinda eh on it :3
Astaroth136 Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 As a 100% pad player in all fighting games, I can vouch for Tager use on pad. It's not bad at all. They're efficient enough to IB 720, 2B whiff 720, etc. Really fancy stuff like Voltic Charge cancelling and standing 720s is much harder on pad though. In my experience, fightpads are awful. Like Osuna said, their buttons are spaced out in a strange way. On top of that, the huge pads are awkward. I prefer the original 360/PS3 pad over any fightpad.
CrazyI-nomitsu Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 He works out fine. 236 motions are hard to come out sometimes though on pad.
bblader1 Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Trouble with Z motions like Collider is the main reason why I don't feel satisfied with the basic controller though.
Manta Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Try the thumbstick, I find it a lot more comfortable and quite good on those 623 motions.
CrazyI-nomitsu Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Oh for the AC motion. I can do it to. but it sometimes turns into 6C. What I suggest is when you combo it. You buffer it while whatever move before is going on.
The Noble Clap Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Hey TaGARs, is it ok to purple throw someone if they suck too hard to tech?
Tetra - K Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Hey TaGARs, is it ok to purple throw someone if they suck too hard to tech? If suxxing to much you should troll with : GF > 360 > GF > 360 > GF > 720 > Taunt
A.X.I.S. Posted July 26, 2011 Author Posted July 26, 2011 Hey TaGARs, is it ok to purple throw someone if they suck too hard to tech? Yes it is. Also its good to do it if you expect them to mash out of stuff.
CrazyI-nomitsu Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 but since most people I play can tech. I find it useless.
Osuna Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Hey TaGARs, is it ok to purple throw someone if they suck too hard to tech?I'm of the opinion that, if you're doing that you should be at least practicing micro walk 360B follow ups. I mean it's all the same for the purposes of winning, but if you were gonna win either way try to get Something out of it.
Tetra - K Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 I got hard time with theses micro walk. But since opponent are not very offently mag'ed, I end up doing asledge>GF a lot (or 5B > 4D for 360A).
A.X.I.S. Posted July 26, 2011 Author Posted July 26, 2011 Well the micro walk is a 3F link iirc. I can do it on characters I can do it on but holy crap. Easiest micro walk combo is on Tsubaki and Haz: 360B>walk 5B>2B>collider>ender.
CrazyI-nomitsu Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 The only time I walk is when I do one of the enders. Also, why do you always have to have a hot anime girl as your avatar math problem? On a sidenote, would all you Tager players sub Kokonoe if she is the next character to be in the game?
