g-ram Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 So far it's Milln, Jackie, Me, Star, G-Ram, Woz, and possibly Tripp. That leaves room for 1-2 more people. Ya im hoping to be on, right now i am out of town but i do have my ps3. Just depends on time and the hotel internet.
Volpe-de-Glacio Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Awww yeah, represent the manly men of the game. Kanji's so manly he's already got a receding hairline.
Milln Posted August 9, 2012 Author Posted August 9, 2012 http://youtu.be/FjgAJ8zFO7k?t=28m29s 28:33 Mitsuru's ice super. I already talked about this with Klein, but i'm legitimately salty about this hitbox. And Klein tells me Mitsuru's DP is just one giant square. It's completely lazy.
LuminAbyss Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 It is just one giant square. You can't even cross it up.

Trippfan Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 sorry about tonight guys. I was not ready to play I guess because I have had at most 20 mins with the game due to trying to have everything ready for my classroom for school to start on Monday. The joys of being an educator. Also my headset is not working so I will have to buy another cable......lame astro headset not coming with the appropriate cable for a ps3. GGs to those I played and I know it was horrid because I had very little idea of what to do.
g-ram Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Ggs guys. Game is super fun but im having a hard time understanding movement and what not. Any pointers appreciated, also sorry for hotel internet lol.

GGs to those I played and I know it was horrid because I had very little idea of what to do. You're fine. I'm the same way. Those four have probably been playing it since release minus a couple breaks for appointments or school. Ggs guys. Game is super fun but im having a hard time understanding movement and what not. Any pointers appreciated, also sorry for hotel internet lol. Same thing that we did with KOF. Just experiment with movement options. GGs to MTNG Room. Game's okay, I know I don't really have an offense, but when flickers of lag between the five of us mess up my defense so that I can't block something I know I reacted to or predicted, it just becomes frustrating.
Tophatmoffet Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Would've been in that room tonight, but I bought the 360 version. Ps3's on the fritz. Always open for a match if anyone wants one. gamertag is over there <
Jackie Chandler Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 (edited) Good games to the MTNG room. I feel like I grasped a lot tonight, even if the majority of my wins were kinda dumb, haha. Better watch out for when I get mah combos down! EDIT: P.S. Fuck Kanji and his command grab for beating out my Awakening Super. Edited August 10, 2012 by Jackie Chandler
Milln Posted August 10, 2012 Author Posted August 10, 2012 (edited) I've landed into like three instant kills (2 Yu 1 Yosuke) trying to do Jumping Oki and I feel like an absolute retard. Airdashing into attacks is ultra disheartening when it isn't your fault. I'll doubletap and the dash comes out like three frames later and I get a face full of Thanatos NEUTRALIZE Sigh... Zoizite Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Can't fucking wait. But for now P4U seems a pretty fun distraction.
Astaroth136 Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 You guys might have an Astaroth as the special guest in Cookeville if Tad can pick me up.
Volpe-de-Glacio Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 GGs guys. We should def do this again. Get some nice all around match ups in.
Alphakami Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Cookeville is a go. Right now I'm bringing Klein and Lee. I should be arriving around 4 PM if I can stay on schedule. I plan to leave Cookeville around check-out time on Sunday. I haven't booked a hotel, I didn't figure there was a need to reserve. Chandler, if you can do a little research to figure out the best host hotel, that would be cool. Size of the room vs. price etc, I'm confident in your choice. I'm not sure if we are going to need 1 or 2 rooms, but we should be able to play that by ear. I'll put the room(s) on my card and ppl can just pitch me a few bills. I'll also do non-smoking rooms as I assume most of you don't want to be immersed in a cloud of shit. I'm going to try to borrow an HDMI monitor, but it's unlikely that it will work out. If it does I'll bring my 360, but I'm short on software. I'm unsure if I can fit a CRT for a gear setup as well. I'm hoping that the local crew can provide equipment, so please chime in.
Astaroth136 Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Someone bring 360 and P4A. I don't want no PS3 frame missing stuff.
Urichinan Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 GGs for the games today and last night. <3 Shadow Labrys.
Volpe-de-Glacio Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 (edited) Where is everyone getting that PS3 drops frames? I've yet to see this, and prefer PS3 because I notice that Xbox has a bit of extra display lag when it comes to HD. The negative factor in P4U is ridiculous for Liz. I get that I should've zoned properly, but learning that lesson from a single mistake costing 2/3rds of my health in a single blow is nuts. I go from having a match on lock and a decent life lead to losing instantly. Edited August 10, 2012 by Volpe-de-Glacio

Try comfort inn and suites or comfort suites. Marriot, holiday inn, and belmont are nice too but not sure on price. Just know size from delivering lol.
Papstr Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Keith and I'll come to Cookeville. Keith's got a TV + 360, and I've got just a 360. Just gotta know where we're going so we can.. go there. haha.
Milln Posted August 10, 2012 Author Posted August 10, 2012 I'll make that drive, too! How late we staying? I'm off on Sunday and am getting out early on Saturday(6pm). I'd love to hang. I'll pick up Daifunkaimat too if he wants to go. @Volpe: it's an issue with consoles and not really inherent to ps3, buuuuut. On lots of games one of the consoles will have an imperfect port and cause frame drops of 1-4 frames depending on the game and inputs being used. Most often it's ps3 and most famously it's ps3's Street Fighter and UMvC3 ports that have it in addition to outright SLOWDOWN. In some cases it's the other way, like in Tekken, the 360 copy is the one with issues. It's just that the ps3 has the majority of them and it gets a bad reputation for it. AdditOnally some players are more sensitive to it than others.
Alphakami Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Looks like we'll need 2 rooms. I think we are looking at at least 8, probably more like 10-12. Plz plan on around 15 dollars hotel split, so when it ends up being cheaper, you're happy. I'll figure out the hotel situation after I get off work this evening and post up. I'll just set it up so that anyone can check in to the rooms for anyone arriving before me. Thanks for the suggestions G-Ram. Also lolz on the frame drop lag stuff.
