Milln Posted September 6, 2012 Author Posted September 6, 2012 never. Chandler factor doesn't work on robots. Actually, I just recently learned that the AI will deliberately allow random IK's to hit them for free. So... :3c Chandler factor works on all opponents.
LastStarSaviour Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Fighting a good Naoto is so fun! Just had a set with this really good Naoto and it got pretty intense. I felt bad that getting in and making two good reads lead to their death though. Definitely need to pick back up my training with her.
Jackie Chandler Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 All right guys, I think I'm going to finally learn stick. But only if I can get my hands on one of these: (Not really)
Jackie Chandler Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 We already did that joke. Did we seriously? My memory is atrocious.
Milln Posted September 6, 2012 Author Posted September 6, 2012 HOLY CRAP GUYS. MY STICK WORKS. I left it alone for a few days and I just now tried it. It works perfectly. No missed button presses on either console, stick lights up, the guide button lights up, everything. I'm so happy. Tad and I combined our magic finger powers to regenerate my stick back from the brink of Ship It Off To Repair. Now who's coming over for pizza and video games? Did we seriously? My memory is atrocious. Yeah, but it was more just between me, Papstr, Klein, and Kain. It started over Twitter.

Yeah, but it was more just between me, Papstr, Klein, and Kain. It started over Twitter. So I've never been on twitter other than scumbaganimeplayer. I saw the stick on SRK :U And respect to the magic touch of doing nothing but shaking a stick and fixing it.
Volpe-de-Glacio Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 (edited) Ho-ly shit. What is it about alcohol that makes people start spewing their deepest emotional trip-ups or showing their true asshole colors to strangers? I figured I should try socializing more, get out of my comfort zone, and it actually went pretty well. Then at the end of night I had to play armchair therapist with like half the people there, and the other half felt like they had something to prove. Apparently those dudes were cool people, but I get massive douchebag vibes from people who ignore the host's rules when they're invited somewhere. I thought parties were where you were supposed to ease out of the stress of life and unwind, not regurgitate them onto random people and bring down the mood. And me being the sucker I am, I can't stand seeing someone down so I feel the need to help them. I think next time if I'm invited and it's not just a chill circle of people I know, I'll just stay in my little bubble and play vidya. /rant I'm not trying to be an asshole, I just always assumed it was common courtesy to keep your personal issues to yourself, for both your sake and others'. edit 2: Looking back, I'm realizing I do pretty much the same thing to you guys on a lesser scale. But idgaf, y'all are family whether you like it or not. Just tell me when to stfu. Edited September 6, 2012 by Volpe-de-Glacio
Jackie Chandler Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 I feel like there are times, places, and people you should save for talking about personal issues. It's not right to bottle them up, but it's not right to push them onto some random stranger who's clearly somewhere to enjoy himself, either.
Tophatmoffet Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Now I come in another flavor; PSN! room name: Classy Labrys

Jackie Chandler Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Today was a great day for Persona. Ran into Milln in Ranked, had some awesome sets, and went from B+ back up to S. YAYUH
Volpe-de-Glacio Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 DON'T GIVE THIS GUY PSR, MILLN. I TRAINED YOU BETTER THAN THAT. YOU MUST OVERCOME THE CHANDLER FACTOR WITH THE HEART OF THE CARDS.
Jackie Chandler Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Actually, we only played once today, and Milln won. D: Run in DP at the start of the match wasn't strong enough!
Milln Posted September 7, 2012 Author Posted September 7, 2012 Today was a great day for Persona. I agree. Today was a good day for Millnsona. Got lots of battles going on, worked on some gimmicks. A couple worked, a couple didn't due to a singular reason. I fought Psyken's Netplay Mitsuru and he's good, though I feel confident against him were we to play offline. Played Kain, played Jackie and he complimented me, played DaxManInEffect(from street fighter crowd) and found a new Yosuke bro because GRIMSTAR IS PLAYING FUGGIN' DISGAEA LIKE A DIRTBAG, I created a new fatal counter combo and it is the most efficient midscreen one currently available for Brosuke, I realized I lack character matchup knowledge vs. Shadow Labrys, I am hella disappointed in EX Dash Spring not allowing me to beat an.... A...? Rank Elizabeth because the thing didn't phase through Maziodyne like it should've so i'm double checking that ish right now, caused the rank down of two players, prevented my own, and started at F- trash rank and ended up with 306 PSR and a comfortable B Rank. Now to watch those replays and beat the crap out of myself for being an idiot and letting my hands do the work instead of my brain. People fall victim to my fake crossups way more than I think they should... but then again maybe I actually came up with something great and useful for once instead of raw Kensou NeoMax vs. Jump ins.

I think there's a bit of vulnerability in the initial frames, as I've nailed a few Brosukes just as they went for it. In any case, netplay is tickin' me off. I can barely find any opponents on ranked, I'd be screwed if it weren't for the good ol' psn crew. We need to have another MTN room on psfree sometime. Edited September 7, 2012 by Volpe-de-Glacio
Urichinan Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 I realized I lack character matchup knowledge vs. Shadow Labrys You know where to find it!
Milln Posted September 7, 2012 Author Posted September 7, 2012 (edited) You know where to find it! Yo, F SHADOW LABRYS. Shadow Labrys is banned from everything. From tournaments, from having fun, from sitting in chairs, from potato chips, everything. Now you know why I switched to 360 for today. Ps3 seems hella laggy today. There's definitely vulnerability up until he starts actually RUNNING, looking at a replay I saved out of salt against that Liz I spoke of. Edited September 7, 2012 by Milln
Volpe-de-Glacio Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 (edited) That moment when if the third countered hit for Liz's instant kill is Yu's dp, it doesn't hit. wtf. Super canceling anything into ziodyne also seems to give him priority. Oh, and dping right AFTER the third hit touches the counter works too. Hooray for useless ultimates. (Not even being sarcastic.) Sorry Jackie! ...That moment when a scrub Labrys runs up and grabs you four times on wake-up, you see every single one coming, and none of your techs go through. Edited September 7, 2012 by Volpe-de-Glacio
Tophatmoffet Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 (edited) Yo sorry milln. Got dragged out of my room tonight. I really want to fight you more. Stop giving jackie ranks. Oh yeah, and I also saw psyken on ranked today. couldn't connect, unfortunately. Edited September 7, 2012 by Tophatmoffet
LastStarSaviour Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 My apologies to Bishop last night for not being able to get any matches in. I had to teach a friend of mine the Mitsuru match-up and that took about a hundred or so matches. With that said, i'll gladly make it up to you with a nice set of matches if you get on tonight. I feel like type fighting game partying. Also, i'm glad you guys are still learning stuff. It feels like i've stopped learning match-ups honestly, I don't know what it is. I guess since I have to deal with situations kind of the same (outside of Akihiko, Yukiko, and Kanji), there's nothing really significant I have to change about my playstyle. Maybe i'm just not fighting the right people or something, but either ways, the patterns don't really change much. The closest I manage to get to changing up my game is throwing a move out a few frames early or late to catch something or simply blocking more in certain matchups. While I don't mind this it is a little discouraging and i can't really tell if i'm getting better or not. LOL, like Mitsuru players are actually good in the first place or something (self-trolling, ranting, etc...). I hear everyone coming up up with new tech and what-not and it kind of shows me how limited Mitsuru is, in terms of character potential. Needless to say, i'm sad, really, really, REALLY, sad. And depressed, and melonchaly, and depressed even more...*sighs*
