Erionn Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Patch is out for PS3, but the Store is still down ;_; Sony said they will be doing store updates constantly(probably daily at least) once the store is up, so I imagine Platinum will come very quickly once the store is finally up.

Also Tager's just a giant punching bag when you finally learn how to deal with him. I used to fear Sledge, now that move makes me laugh when I see him trying to reach me. I was walled in with attacks until my barrier ran dry most of the time. It doesn't matter though I don't have Plat atm. Good luck spanking the Ice Queen, he's my most hated character all the way from CT lol. EDIT: Thanks again C0R

Well most the Jins I play always seem to love their 5C > 6C. I find IB 6C easy enough, which leads to good punish.

Coopa Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 So, I'm starting to see vast improvements with my Platinum, and I think the next step is to find some sort of pressure techniques. From what I've been seeing from this purple platinum (Hikuma Doushi???) he uses Platinum's jabs like a Tekken player. That is to say, lots of "--> --> (neutral) jab x n" So, right now, I am working on that. From previous testings, before I became serious with Platinum as a sub, I noticed her transition to swallow moon overhead setups left gaps that could be mashed. So, I assumed that Platinum players needed to mash that 2a/5a hard, but now I'm starting to see how frustrating a Platinum with the right item can be. Missile and bomb oki is really nice for extending mixup post knockdown. My question now is, has anyone found any good blockstrings with items? For example, 5c jump cancel (up back) missile, rush in, 5a, 2a, 5b, 5c, 3c, or something like that?

Marutambo Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 It appears that Platinum may be effected by the wallbounce glitch shown in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvLVbtnqf9A&feature=channel_video_title Her back throw fails to bounce the following characters off of the wall: Bang, Hakumen, Hazama, Tager, Litchi, Tsubaki, Valkenhayn, Lambda, and Mu-12. Sorry if this is old news, or if its actually just some character-specific circumstance. I searched this forum and didn't see anything about this. Thought it might help some people out to at least know that this happens, glitch or not.
