Blade Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Okay, so I'm not used to Platinum fights yet, and from what I've seen, no amount of teching is all that safe around her when she uses Bubble. But well, I lose about 90% of my HP to poorly executed wakeup punishment, or a techning mistake, or they were fishing for an airthrow and got it. Or it's punishment for trying to tech behind them which makes it feel like there's no point to tech at all since you get hit out of it anyway. It's frustrating but I need to learn this stuff. They say Americans don't know how to block, so...I figure I need to learn the right way without getting thrown or airthrown.
Airk Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 ... Bubble oki is pretty unfierce. Just don't roll. Neutral tech (That's NO DIRECTION +A, B or C) and you are 100% invulnerable until you can block. Now block. The bubble will break. Now just defend yourself normally. Without either Cat Hammer or frying pan, Platinum doesn't really have THAT good of mixup, so just block low, and jab if she goes for the butt-bump overhead or the command throw. The important part is...yeah, don't roll. (But rolling is SO STRONG IN BB. :P )
YukiBlue Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Neutral Tech into Block. If you play Hakumen, Yukikaze Her Bubble for Shits and Giggles. (Can you Astral it? I know it's a projectile, But it's Hakumen. I will believe anything) If she has a Bat. Panic.
Eshi Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 If she tries to do midscreen oki bubbles then you can back roll away. If she does knockdown > bubble, neutral tech, instant block the bubble and 5A will catch a lot of platinums who think her oki is good.
