my favorite item always changes, but right now it would probably be the cat. gives plat the range and priority she doesn't have otherwise, and mixup is godlike with 3c. if you have meter, you simply scare them into blocking low, hit with a 3c > 22c, and rapid into damage. then command grab and repeat the process. hammer is another favorite, people truly do not barrier to save themselves most of the time. if they do, +0 on block, so you're still safe (if they IB you can still block afterwards).

pan is fantastic also, but not for the instant overhead in my opinion. pan fucking terrifies people, they'll usually start blocking high immediately. you can hit them with as many lows as you want because they're just so damn scared, and you don't even need to waste any pans. not to mention if you do instant overhead and they block it, so long as they don't IB you're safe via jumpout.

to be fair, though, i enjoy all of her items. bombs often get a lot of flak, but used properly they're fantastic. against tager it's a no brainer, but even on others it's incredible oki that doesn't disappear even when you get hit. the chip damage is not to be underestimated as well. it's unfortunate, but her weakest item is likely her only meterless reversal, the bat. incredibly easily baited as it has no vertical range, -10 on block which isn't too bad, but not quite a fair tradeoff for its very weak range. only good to fake your opponent into jump canceling to bait, but instead going for an anti-air, or to scare them from doing pressure with any gap without a jump cancel.

a 2d? could be interesting depending on the item. could actually make bat useful, add some interestingly angled range to cat, diagonally angled missiles perhaps.. interesting is definitely the word here, but that all depends on how it would be implemented. food for thought, though.

Rarely have the pan when starting pressure, my favorite probably Hammer it's all about damage and Guardcrush ... kinda hate Cat flail on most of My match up

I love F.Pan. Instant Overhead, Combo Extender, When you Mystic Momo it it has mean hitstun and it flies at a good angle too.

I like the fact that CH mystic momo can lead to 5-7k if the situation demands it.

angled range as a melee strike that doesn't use all of your tokens immediately. as for missiles, yes, diagonally, since mystique momo just shoots them forward.

CH mystique momo is a bunch of fun, close to corner you can dash > mami for a rad looking pickup

i was thinking of swinging the cat in an arc from in front to behind. but i'm not sure if that would actually be practical

i really need to get the game (and a stick) for myself and practice

Done all Plat challanges apart from 8 :S Man I still can't dash on stick :(

Yeah, I done it this morning. 10 was fine for me all I needed to get the hang of was the FC into the four 2C then it was pretty much corner combo + hammer loop.

Isn't 10 just a worse version of the one I did here? Not boasting or anything, just thinking it couldn't be that difficult unless it did something drastically different.

you need to do it higher each rep. so the first 2C would be very low to the ground, the second slightly higher, etc.

on FC you can time them all the same until you reach the max amount of hits before proration kicks in a bit too much (iirc it's 10), you can dash in after ever 4 reps instead of doing 6 2C also

Not sure if new, but just there, LITERALLY, I was playing against a Jin and clashed Plat's C Distortion on the exact moment Jin used his Counter Distortion. Platinum won :P She still had enough invincibility from the start up XD Not a viable strategy, more of a fun fact. Probably old I bet, but it made for a laughable moment.

Just tested, yeah, it goes through on superflash activation, since Jin has two different types of Yukikaze (for those who don't know, one where he counters it immediately on superflash, and another where he counters it after the superflash). If it's afterward, though, Plat just gets fatal'd.

The invunerability on Crue Dot Typhoon seems to be a bit off. I remember quite clearly being thrown out of it on startup; later I checked the frame data and that makes sense, seeing as throws are average 7 frames, so it'll land exactly as the invunerability ends assuming they throw during the super flash.

Confirmation? Maybe it was a fluke?

1.) Did the superflash go off? I have been testing it against Ragna's Dead Spike and the invulnerability seems to work through startup.

2.) Who grabbed you? Because I tried buffering throw on flash and got denied.

I got thrown by platinum, yes the superflash went off.

Possible that I got thrown during the active frames now that i think about it.

Pretty sure it was a fluke. Just tested with different timings, grab whiffed each time. Since invuln on CDT is 1-7f after superflash (which covers until the first attack), the opponent should always get CH.

Doesn't suprise me, we play enough to see all sorts of glitches, like combo'ing to green throws and clashing with projectiles.

Just a video suggestion, but have there been any videos uploaded testing and comparing the invincibility of CDT against other DD's and what not?

A couple of characters I'm interested to see this tested on...

Makoto (on clash with 632146D, not point blank as trade off against that D usually end in your favour)

Noel (on a whiffed Fenrir)

Hakumen (His Counter DD, IIRC, this hits about 3 or so times on block, so I think she'd lose)

If anybody gets around to these, I'd love to know if you find anything.
