Moy_X7 Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 It's not the same without the catchy music and the genki voices, also fat bald guy is fat and bald.
CakeWasBannedd Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 i've got this shit down, japanese pronounciation is hella easy
Yggjrasil Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Yumekami doing MVC2 Strider Hiryu Sentinel Infinites. not giving a fuck.
Moy_X7 Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 lol, I thought that he'd be able to IB > back dash or IB > 720 if he IB'd the j.2C but it turns out that the blockstring is air tight, even on IB XD I'll be trolling the shit out of Tagers with it in the future. I didn't do it because I seriously thought that I could get hurt if Tager IB'd the j.2C but since that theory has been debunked, fucks do not have to be given.
Yggjrasil Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 (edited) Rutent got Guard Bonus from that. Meaning he IB'd a gapless blockstring. which also meant he couldn't mash out. and even if he did IB > Backdash, j.2C would've caught him, same with if he IB > backdash > 720'd, Yumekami would've jumped and smacked him.... but I wonder if he could've backdash MTW? Edited July 24, 2012 by Yggjrasil
Moy_X7 Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 (edited) Yeah, I just tried it myself and Tager is not allowed to do anything during that blockstring, even on IB. I hope they don't somehow nerf j.B in the future or increase j.2C's start-up or decrease its hit-stun. We have to make the best out of that blockstring while we can. lol, opening Tager up with a 2A here and there and with those rising j.Bs should be no problem. Same goes for Hakumen lol. Edit: Just tried it again, this time with back dashes. If he back dashes after IB'ing j.B, j.2C will not tag him, his back dash I-frames last long enough to entirely dodge j.2C. The IB > back dash windows are fucking tiny though lol. Oh well, at the very least we won't have to worry about random 2C mash or butter churning from his end. Edited July 24, 2012 by Moy_X7
Kujikawa Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 (edited) Rutent got Guard Bonus from that. Who is that male in your avatar? :3 EDIT: Netplay Platinum and Makoto is the worst. Might just pick up Ragna for online shiz... EDIT: Is it right me saying that Platinum has one of the hardest executions out of all the characters? 22C is such a bitch. Edited July 28, 2012 by Kujikawa
Yggjrasil Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 No, Arakune, Carl, Litchi,FRKZ Bang and I want to say Makoto now have pretty hard executions. Platinum is easy, you just need to vary your timings with 22C on different characters. It's just like playing GG. Oh wait, most people here never played that game, welp. Just practice.
Moy_X7 Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 I agree with GGJ. After playing some KoF XIII and doing some HD combos... now that game requires execution. Just gotta learn the timings. Hazama, Lambda, Relius, and Jin are lenient as hell when it comes to 22C. Carl and Hakumen are tricky though.
Kujikawa Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Arakune's isn't so bad. Carl/Litchi/Haku are quite obvious ones. It's just that a lot of American Plats seem to drop stuff like 50% of the time. I admit that 22C just comes with consantly performing it and practice, but thats the same for all characters. Of course, Carl nearly scrapes the boundaries of the execution barrier in GG. Thank God I don't play someone like Millia or Eddie. ...And then theres P4U. Looking through Platinum players P4A mains, it is rather varied - Stupid girl is pretty unique. Surprised your not maining Mitsuru Moy :<
Moy_X7 Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I've never been a fan of charge characters but I might give her a spin as a sub.
Yggjrasil Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I just play whoever looks interesting to me. Although, I do wish that Aika was playable.
Kujikawa Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Takaya, Adachi or an original character. Basically someone else that actually is a decent villain. That or Rise <3
Yggjrasil Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Platinum's got some new surprises for us in BBCP! :O
Kujikawa Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 So it looks a sort of trap that activates when touched by the opponent? If that's the case then I can see these being extremely useful for stuff like oki.
SoWL Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 A gift box certainly isn't something that I expected, but it seems like yet another oki tool, interesting anti-air and may be yet another way to combo the enemy to the corner, 2C loop-style. Plat is in a very good state in CSEX, so I don't know what else could be changed about her.
Cirno Posted August 5, 2012 Author Posted August 5, 2012 present trap item seems pretty cool. 1/7 now?! i still wish it was drill ;; hype though!
Kujikawa Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 We've discussed this 100s of times, but what the hell would a drill be used for @_@ Interested in the upgraded version of this new item. Maybe it increases in size?
Chaoschao222 Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Super PRESENT TRAP will obviously be LOG TRAP!
Yggjrasil Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Yes Please. I want LOG TRAPS and ROCKET SKATES.
Chaoschao222 Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Platinum: Magical Heart Catch (removes limit on number of uses of weapon summoned with drive) Dat name, dat effect.
