The gravity not lasting as long seems to fit more since it was listed as a nerf on Nantoka and there was discussion about different combos needed for gravity. alright thanks! kenja0 Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Apparently the 5C change is a decent buff since it makes hitting combos easier and more consistent. The hits come out as fast as possible too. Since you have to press C again to throw out a different C move, I'm kind of hoping Arc System would put in a 5C system like hold 5C and go to 4/6 to speed it up or slow it down- something fun and functional. I had that idea for a while and I thought 2/8 would be something like aiming up and down, but that would just be silly.

None of the changes seem drastic and in all honesty, I feel the changes to the barrier system would have more of an effect on Lambda's gameplan than any of her current character specific changes.

[x] 4DD/2DD - Added revolver action into 4B/6C Why is this not listed as a buff? I can't see any way in which it could be a nerf. Anyways this doesn't seem all that aamzing off the top of my head but i'm sure people will come up with some neat stuff. [-] Act Parser: Cavalier - Untechable time decreased I'm curious as to how much they decreased the untechable time, but really at the end of the day this nerf really doesn't hurt much, if at all. [-] Gravity Seed - Shorter duration Same as Cavalier. I can't see this nerf hurting us much. Overall, i agree with toanenadiz, the whole barrier system is the biggest change >.>
zaeris Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 besides 2dd-> 6c/4d air hit the rest is pointless.... using 4d at close range... is just suicidal and if not, reactable.... lets look at it this way the range on 4b/6c isn't godly enough where poking with 4d at best it be a gimmick into the new gatling, or using sickle but we have better mix up then going for a 4d-> 4b mix up. Act C: it could be nerf to the point where u must use 2dd asap and go into aerial combo or into the new gatling. Gravity can mean no more 2dd tk-> dash 6a 6c crescent into stuff and just 2dd 6c -> stuff.
L1F3 Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 the potential for lambda just got better. 4B is air unblockable for both hits if im not mistaken, so if you can get someone who is jumping in to block 2DD, you can 4B for free (assuming they forget to barrier) and you can still gatle 2DD > 6DD > 2DD at certain heights as well, which may help with the lapse of barrier blocking. of course you can just IAD back or JC > air swords like normal, but it allows up to use more tools to catch people off guard. as for 4DD > 4B, at certain distances (in the air) you can 2DD > 4DD and they should normally be on the ground or very close to the ground when the 4DD comes out, and judging on your distance from them, you can score a double overhead situation with 4B. messing around with this will be fun lol gravity... as far as i know, gravity stays out for 180 frames? if it hit the the opponent. if the time is decreased then omit the 2DD before the TK saber or use 6A > 2147D instead. this should still work even if its decreased all the way down to 120 frames oh well, we'll know for sure when it comes out. all this news makes me pretty hype for lambderps changes and better opportunities to get ok damage from mid-screen

Gravity lasting a bit shorter will also help me with 2DD>214A>2DD>TK Crescent>6A>6C>236C as I always do that just a bit too fast. Also, off topic, but lilseph, didn't we play a few matches a few days ago?
