Commanderoftroy Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Some sick nasty 2c fatal combos right there and ragnas health always makes them look better.
Commanderoftroy Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 It's nice to see fights go how they should with a grappler. Tager may not get in more than once but these days that one time could be the end of the fight.
Manta Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Was most impressed with the 82 heatgain off of 6B fatal. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SpFpktJxCA&feature=player_detailpage#t=581s
NumeroGaijin Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Yeah I was like whoa!! Makes me want to fish that out lol.
The Noble Clap Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 That combo made my dick rock hard. I'll pick Tager back up just to do that.
A.X.I.S. Posted February 2, 2012 Author Posted February 2, 2012 You guys flipped at 82 heat off 6B? How about that 100 heat FC 2C combo near the corner. It was just as if not more hype than FC 6B.
Manta Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 The 6B combo was hot due to gaining 82 heat off of a 3k combo. It's just wut. Also, 236B doesn't stun anymore, notice how makoto doesn't get forced standing.
Tae Seong Kim Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 You can't combo after normal hit B Sledge anymore. Or maybe I really suck at linking 5A after it?
Zephyrus Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ULe31colBkt=5m8s Well, this one's new to me. o.o You find new stuff every day.
Manta Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 (edited) Going back to that 2C elbow drop frenzy, wouldn't it make far more sense to burn some of that heat during the combo? You could easily put MTW after the main 5B > j.2C loop was finished. Then they could stay cornered too. Also, the 6B fatal combo had mid combo magnetism. Without sparkbolt. So awesome. OrionXElite Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 I could see the combo going something like this if you have the meter to burn early: FC2C>j.2C>[5B>j.2C]x2>5B>5C>MTW>5B>5C>ASledge>Hammer>j.2C>2B>2C>Collider>j.CWhiff>j.2C>5B>5C>Spark>6C>j.2C>3C>MTW>Terra Break Thats assuming everything after the first MTW builds you enough meter. I'd imagine that would do something like 6.5-7K as the normal combo into MTW>Terra Break at the end does 5.7K I believe. Certainly something worth testing around with since the practicality of this is pretty high since you can usually get out of the corner if you hit the FC and link the j.2C after as opposed to the video showing them being in the corner already. I know for a fact that AA 2C>ASledge Whiff>(7)j.2C puts them in the corner except for maybe Tager cause of his size. I didn't get much time to test the specifics of it but I know it can work at least so investigating more is certainly worthwhile
Manta Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 You can work out the heatgain from the followup combo with the frame data. Only the 5B > 5C immediately after the MTW gets reduced heatgain. Also, the video demonstrated 3 5B > j.2C reps.
OrionXElite Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 (edited) I figured the proration would be too bad if you did 3 reps. But that was just a thought on my end, certainly wouldn't surprise me if 3 reps worked though. Whats the heat gain reduction percentage?? I have nothing to do so I'm down for some math fun :3 EDIT: Scratch that, I remembered its 75% Edited February 2, 2012 by OrionXElite
A.X.I.S. Posted February 2, 2012 Author Posted February 2, 2012 When I did the whole combo and used MTW>TB at then end I got around 6k or something like that. It's still a lot seeing how you build all the heat to do that.
OrionXElite Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Ok so I apparently don't know how to figure out heat gain in CS2/EX:v: I'm not sure whats making the numbers weird but I'm not getting anything even close to right. I'm just trying to find the numbers using his basic 5A magnetism confirm, and I'm getting numbers that are way too low. I was using the way they calculate heat in the system guide but those numbers are extremely low. That math had his BnB only getting him 22 Meter:v: I find this really ironic as I could figure heat gain in CS1 really easily and went as far as to make sure my theory combos were practical meter wise before I even tried them. So....help anyone??
Manta Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 remembered the 1.8x multiplier for actually hitting with an attack? And that proration values don't factor into heat gain?
OrionXElite Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 (edited) Yeah I went and took every moves Heat Gain and did the equation: X times .23 x 1.8 and then wrote that down. Then I took the combo and just added all the modified values together and got a really low number. I even doubled the modified values and it STILL wasn't high enough. I dunno if I'm just doing the wrong equations or not cause it really doesn't make sense for the CS2 numbers to match up to Extend given how I went through it. I'd guess I'm either doing something wrong or Tager has gotten a modification to his Heat Gain I don't know about. EDIT: After tweaking some numbers and remembering that Throw moves have set Heat Gain, I'm still short on the numbers overall. This furthers my assumption that they have changed the Heat Gain formula for AT LEAST Tager. Cause CS2 says that the modifier is .23 for Tager and after putting it over double to .5 for all of his moves, I'm ending up about 9-10 Heat short of his standard 5A Magnetized confirm. Manta Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Derp. The heat gain in the data is already calculated. Just add it up and divide by 100. The calculation is used for when you only know the damage.
OrionXElite Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 oh...well fuck me:v: I was stupid in not noticing that the example in the System Guide was using the damage from Makoto's DP to do the math:v: Ok so someone double check for me that 5A>5B>3C>ACWhiff>j.2C>5B>5C>6A>2C>AC>GFWhiff>6C>j.2C>3C>GF builds 62-63 Heat right?? Cause when you add everything up, it only shows it getting 56 which I know is wrong. I give up:v:
lardbucket Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 I think the combo you're looking for is 5A>5B>5C>6A>3C>ACWhiff>j.2C>5B>5C>6A>2C>AC>GFWhiff>6C>j.2C>3C>GF, which builds 65 heat. The slightly shorter combo you posted gets 56 heat, I believe.
Tetra - K Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 "yakitobe, heh yakitobe, heh yakitobe, heh yakitobe, heh kuraridae hoooo adzugero" New Tager hymn.
OrionXElite Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Whos doing stuff with the Tager wiki?? Someone fucked up bad. Everything us shifted wrong which is making it waaaaay off. Startup is Attack Level Active Frames are Startup Recovery Frames is Active Frames Frame Advantage is recovery. So someone should fix that. It's on everything from 5D and Down.
shtkn Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 taht was my fault, those were all the older format for the data that had more stuff in it. sorry guys but i'm still busy with getting other parts of hte wiki up and running, so i won't have time to fix it.
