from the video yes, chip damage looks like it can be regenerated ala vampire saviors. also it looks like you lose taht blue bar when you get hit while your persona is out. dunno what happens when you lose all of it, but i assume it means you can't summon your persona for a while.

i saw emergency techs, but no ground rolling, so i dunno if that's in teh game or not...

you also get 50 meter for falling below 35% (or whatever amount) of health. your meter also is able to hold 150 total

I don't know if anyone has already pointed it out, but there's a visual indicator for hitstun/untechable time that appears underneath combo damage. That's why they bother to show the combo count even at 1 hit.

Edit: Also, Fatal Counters are present.

Not much hitstop, thank goodness.

Can't wait for that sysdoc to be translated.

Rise seems quite busy. What is she actually saying?

"COUNTAH"

"FATAL"

"DISTORTION FINISH"

only kind of trolling, it's possible Rise doubles as the call girl for those particular situations, I wasn't really paying attention if they were popping up normally though :P

At first I didn't pay much attention to it during the Kanji video, but seeing it in the Chie video as well definetly made it of note. When you reach the health point where you get 150 SP, your character will push back the other opponent to the other side of the screen. In both cases this was shown, it appeared to be a combo breaker, a free burst as it were. I certainly hope it's not so automatic and you at least can't do it during a combo, as far as I could tell it only activated when the combo gauge had reached 0 both times, so it seems, especially for rush down that once you finish a combo at this point, make sure you have good position or are guarding (I'd assume you can guard being blown back) to retain your position.

Also, this is Persona, we have yellow beat combos lol

Actually what you saw was a dropped combo that got punished in that video. In every other video when that happens it doesn't interrupt anything, but instead activates as soon as the character techs/is back in player control.

I'm not to sure Yosh, I mean even in cases where they don't, some attack seems to come out and I suspect it's a gtfo me attack that comes with it. Yukkiko had one that went with her SP increase, but Kanji was able to block it. Whats even more interesting is the fact that you can trigger it yourself by using HP attacks like Kanji did (which at first I thought was also a gtfo me move, but it indeed was him using his own health to get the 50 extra SP).

That attack is more than likely just the player mashing on wakeup.

FAKE EDIT: Just look at the ten minute video around 2:15. You will see that the effect happens only when Yukiko air techs.

Yep, I'm even MORE hype now.

Some interesting stuff I saw in the mechanics translation.

Quick Escape: A + C. "Moves to dodge attack." (Jojo's rolls? Yes please)

Mini-jump: Down + A + C (hop?) (Nice)

Air Turn: A + C in midair. You turn. IN THE AIR. (Wha? This I gotta see. I assume this means some sort of air dodge)

Let me be the first to title Chie's power up super as "Trial of the Dragon Install".

It's a simple Charge. You know, that skill that boosts your next physical attack in P4. Though that nickname is mighty fine, too.

Too bad that Persona select turned out to be just a palette swap for your Persona. Well, they can still give us the Ultimate Persona palettes.

Also, Yukiko has Dia as her B+D attack, even though it's supposed to drain your health. Waiting for SoBa's translation for now.

I would honestly have to see the move in action, cause according to the description it acts just as the skill implies in the RPGs and it recovers health, but I'm not sure how that works out seeing how R-Actions are supposed to sacrifice some of your HP...maybe it recovers base health or it fills in missing health with blue health which can then be recovered (seeing as damage lost through R-Actions recover on their own anyways).

Also since the move is your reversal I'm pretty sure it's only invincible on start up and if you choose to hold it (as it is chargable) you will be vulnerable, so it depend on how bad recovery (of your recovery, lol) is to see how viable it could be.

It might be something like this: In Garou(fucked up game, but bear with me) Gato can turn mid air. This makes crossups easier, basically, and maybe other shit.(i dont really know)

Is there any way to get feedback from the people who played this at TGS? It'd be interesting to hear what the initial impressions are from the people who got to try things out.

Good enough reason to learn Kanji for me. :toot:

How did I know that you and I would be looking at the same character? (So far at least)

I like cute tomboys who may or may not be a little lacking in the breast area.

What's your excuse?
