The other is probably an easily fixable bug, this is more concerning, however...

They should give the R-Actions actual commands and nerf the Autoguard on all out attacks. I understand that the game was meant to be easy, but easy shouldn't mean abusable.

warning 3rd hand info so take with a grain of salt: spoke to xie this weekend and he spoke to players and they said the game...

sucks

apparently there's some strange input bug where you could not do a special when crouching and you're forced to return to neutral before you can cancel a crouching normal into a special? i dunno, sounded very odd.

also, he said that they said the game devolved into ppl mashing R-Action (DP) vs. All Out Attack (autoguard dust)

again, take with a grain of salt, i'm just reporting what i was told (and remember)

This is a huge concern... I'm actually starting to get worried.

It will be.

Since the game is still being made, can't this bug be reported so you can input specials while crouching? It was probably just a loketest glitch. As for the other thing, I sorta view it in the same vein as when Marvel came out and everyone was like "Oh this game sucks so much, X factor and Sentinel are broken waaah". They're two options built in that come with advantages and disadvantages, and with the game not even out, I think it's far far to early to say the game sucks, 3rd hand or 1st hand info. Whats the difference between someone spamming an R-action to say Inferno Divider minus an easier input, you block and punish all the same. As for the super armor Dust attack, I personally think it's to slow (unless it had a massive speed up in this last loketest we have no vids of) to really be used outside of punishing laggy normals/specials and is likely very punishable.

Reason I say this all is simple, just wait until this game sees a release before getting worried the game will suck and even if it does suck, we live in the year 2012, if something is broken or not working right we have the means to patch and fix it so even if it is broken garbage for a month or two, a patch can come along and fix that.

People should really keep in mind that when ArcSys makes fighting games based on licensed franchises they usually end up like HnK and SBX

It would be great if this game avoided that fate but I'm not getting my hopes up until it's at least been out in arcades for a while

As long as it's fun, I'd be fine with that personally.

Too bad both those games are totally fucking awesome. Wish they didn't die out. Especially SBX, I absolutely loved that game. Time out infinities and all. Too bad it wasn't on 360. A simple patch would have changed that and kept the game alive longer.

BTW when is the release date?

they have only made 2 licensed games, and the later one reused the buggy engine of the first one without changing the core problems, also they had a lot of problems outside asw, they were rushed and didnt have enough testing wich were due sega and capcom wanting to release those games in a narrow space of time and the worst part they didnt have the benefit of a revision, you can see with the amount of work that they have done with this one, that its more than probable that it wouldnt have the same fate, they are using the engine of BB that it has been tested for a good amount of time, also, atlus is willing to try to create a new fighting game franchise of persona wich means revisions to fix whateve bullshit that werent noticed on the testing phase and dont forget balance issues

btw HnK and SBX are awesome games, even when they are full of bullshit, they are still fun to play, wich at the end its what it matters :D

Looks like this game has been confirmed for a summer console release (Japan). Anyone plan on importing?

I was expecting a JP date....this is pretty much no different from the info we got when it was announced haha. I dont really see a need to import though, Atlus and Aksys (maybe?) would likely be pretty good about getting this here.

I most certainly agree. We will most likely be getting this in the states. I'm not too knowledgeable about this stuff though cuz I'm kinda new to this whole fighting genre.

How long does it take for fighters to reach console after the arcades?

(I wonder how long it took for us to get BB on console after arcades got it?) From what it looks like, this might be coming to the states sometime this summer no later than fall
