Yeah, he appears on one side of the screen or the other, then runs clear across it, lol.

I'm actually surprised by how much damage that super does, seeing as how it's unblockable. I'm guessing you can't really combo into or out of it, if it does that much damage.

Well, Nantoka was saying that it is possible if you use your items properly (pretty much how it happened in the video).

If only Caeser didn't look like such a huge target to hit. Unless it had tandem engine properties, but I'm sure it won't

At least he appears behind Akihiko, which means that the enemy has to go through the pain train of his beatdown if he wants to hit Caesar.

"vortex" effect, pulling the opponent in toward Akihiko, literally forcing them to move back, which forces you to guard, which allows Akihiko an easier time catching you with high/lows.

So, basically magnetism?

Which works well except it has the problem of being a huge target. While it might be hard for someone like Yu or Chie to safely hit it, that won't stop the zoners from landing an easy shot, which would likely be the people you would want it to work on the most

also, mitsuru's slash/cut super looks pretty meh, i'm disappointed.

This comment is rather humorous since it's literally her critical attack from P3

Teddie says "Nani ga Deru Kuma" while tossing his items! My Faust is soooo pleased with this!

Gah, as someone who subbed Faust, I'mma have to sub Teddie too. . .

Also, I blame boredom for this:

Yeah. I suppose it might be possible to combo afterwards if an item keeps the opponent in some sort of hitstun. Just have to wait and see, I guess.

Is there really no Yosuke thread? I was kinda looking for stuff about him. I guess I'll check out MM then.

Seems like the UI got some upgrades, particularly the Persona Gauge and the Awakening. Even Kanji's aerial throw looks more brutal now.

Nothing too exciting about Mitsuru right now, but hey, at least we got some actual footage of her!

Kanji laid down an asswhoopin' on the second round. He turtled like hell on the first one though...

Mitsuru one of those characters you need to get in and stay in against, it looks like. Or Kanji is slow.

Yup, he's slow.

So anyone notice that Mitsuru's Marin Karin drains meter on block? I'm thinking of maining both her and Kanji.

Seriously, if Marin Karin can be used in a blockstring or something, it will be just plain hilarious to rob people of their supers. I also like how they made the Persona's health way more noticeable.

He's flashing during the freeze state. Might be him shaking? That'd be rather silly.

D'aww, my character is already getting hate lol

Honestly though I'd expect more Yukiko footage to show up, she is like, the perfect Japanese woman apparently lol

For a new game you usually see the more basic characters show up a lot more at the beginning.

yosuke gets negative penalty at the end of that video, but i didn't see him lose any meter or take extra damage... what does negative penalty do in this game?

If you're talking about the very end, it's probably because he got thrown so it still only did its' base damage.

Now my math sucks and I can't even work out all the numbers tbh, but the reason is simple. During round 2 when Kanji grabs him and does the command grab, it does 2698 (2416 for the grab alone) damage. When Yosuke gets grabbed at the end, it does 2508 (or 2241 for just the grab). Yosuke was in negative penalty, which I think means he takes 1.5x damage if I remember right, however he was also in awakening, which gives him a 20% defense boost. My math sucks too much to figure it out, but long story short, take normal damage, apply negative penalty, then add in 20% defense boost.

EDIT: Damage boost can't be 1.5x, I think its about 1.2x, around that area
