SolarMisae Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 When I lose a lot I just rage quietly. I just set down my stick, grumble for like a minute or two whilst calling myself the worst Mu like ever...then I get over it and hit up the matchup threads about the character I lost to. Then try to (hopefully) do better next time.
LuminAbyss Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 When I lose, I just take it in stride. I lost because I didn't do something right, I guessed incorrectly, or whatever. I can't be salty if I know it was my own fault for losing. I try to run it back if I can, if I can't, I learn from what I'm doing wrong. However, when I win, I run around the room yelling I'm the best Ragna in America. I'm so cool.
cookiehours Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 There were times where I actually cried when I lost matches. I tend to get frustrated and blame myself/say I'm a horrible player but then I turn off the game, do some browsing on the computer (watch matches with competent Mus and see what I can copy) and then get back to it. In the end I know its just a game, but it pisses me off when I lose to stupid crap or crap that I feel is stupid. Been fighting against the Ragna army as of late. -_-
Nemesis Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Honestly it's nice to hear other ppl rage with me ... Helps me feel more normal, sometimes my wife gets real pissed with me if I get too noisy. so hearing your coping mechanisms is helpful
YukiBlue Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Also, i used to have a Cigarette to calm down. Not just with BB. Really didnt help. Quit smoking and found chilling with the famalam was helpful. Or just browsing NPG before it got Fatal countered.

Aile Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 I don't usually rage when I lose. Most of the time I either wail, or laugh. then return to my salty self in a while. Though sometimes I threaten to shove an umbrella up someone's butt sometimes .___. ...I never really do it anyway

cookiehours Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 ...xDDDD Lol, shove an umbrella up someone's ass.
Haven Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 When I lose, I honestly get happy unless it was due to something really silly. Losing to players actually gets people to show my bad habits and mistakes, which allows me to learn. I just see it as a chance to get better. I do admit I get salty when it is due to lag, bad playing on my apart, etc... But I try not to take it too far, you gotta just relax and move on.
Aginor Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Combos are something you can just DO. They're completely removed in terms of head-to-head interactions. If you can eek out even 10 more damage by doing a better combo, even though it's harder, there is literally NO convincing reason to not do it. There is a reason to not do it...and that is being lazy. :D In other news, I'm getting less lazy and doing 2c 5c 6c now lmaoo....

YukiBlue Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Theory fighter: Say I do this 5c > 6C > 5D > 4D > 214D for Oki. Since the explosions hit's multiple times, I can force them to block in the air on NT. Hitbox dependent, Would it be possible to Dash 2B underneath? Or am I stuck in CS1?
Nemesis Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 That's actually an interesting idea... It's easy to execute in theory I'll try that when I hop online today- seems a tad risky tho which I likey
YukiBlue Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 If it works, and in a manner that really screws with the other dudes head. I can see it only being a True Gimmick. thought it would be sweet to land a Crossunder 6B after the 2B.
Lythium Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 (edited) Not positive but that would completely whiff on most tech situations, I think. Unless they're Tager-sized or something. I could be wrong though. :V edit: What I mean is, I don't think you can force a neutral air tech in this situation, my bad. I felt like I was being unclear. Edited November 6, 2011 by Lythium
Nemesis Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 I wont be on till later but ill give it a few shots -- its not hard to find ppl on live who wake up jump blocking or something like that
bakahyl Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 I think they can roll backwards or slightly delay their wakeup to avoid exploding steins.
Nemesis Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 obviously.... but lots of ppl still wake up and block the bombs-- much more than roll back
Lythium Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 I tested it in training mode, on Jin. Explosion doesn't seem to catch any tech whatsoever, forward, back, neutral, you name it. So, unless your opponent jumped up blocking, that might work. But it would be the jankiest gimmick ever. It might work if they're playing a real fatty character though, I didn't bother to test that. :3 And if they weren't barriering the jump block, you could just hit them with an air unblockable anyway.
C0R Posted November 6, 2011 Author Posted November 6, 2011 Theory fighter: Say I do this 5c > 6C > 5D > 4D > 214D for Oki. Since the explosions hit's multiple times, I can force them to block in the air on NT. Hitbox dependent, Would it be possible to Dash 2B underneath? Or am I stuck in CS1? Uhhh... They tech on the ground after 6c. There's no way you can do a crossunder mixup with 214d oki anyhow, you recover after them, especially if you're placing more than one stein. 6c 4d 214d will only hit meaty on standing opponents You're looking for something like 6c 214d 66~6a 2c 4d 214d airtech meaty They tech in the air and are forced to block the explosion.
YukiBlue Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Something I thought looked cool in some Online Casuals guys. I haven't tested it out. I Stein'd He Tech'd I blew his shit up and he was in the Air. I called it how it was. Nice for clarification, Though.
Nemesis Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 what about people who delay their wake up then get up jumping and blocking -- ive seen it on more than a few occasions they are sitting in the air blocking the bombs while i have a "few" free frames (i think?)
C0R Posted November 6, 2011 Author Posted November 6, 2011 If your opponent is jumping out of 6c oki you need to force them to sit down, 6c 6d 236d will catch jumpers, as will 6c 5d :IAD meaty j.b safejump.
ThunderboltZ28 Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Mu General goes silent for days and all of a sudden pages of technical talk I can't understand.
