Makoto was the worst. CS1 and CS2.

The move that hits me out of the air even though it seems it shouldn't is 5B, but that's just jesus kick for you.

Anyway, it wouldn't be BB if Ragna wasn't herp derp. That's just how he always is and it's fine. At least he's not Makoto. He gets damage but he's straightforward to fight against.

Honestly, I thought that was impossible for a Haku cause of j.2C and j.B's hitboxes. I guess if the situation is you jumping back without barrier you will get hit by it though.

I've hit people out of the air with Tager 5B. THE KICK OF SCIENCE

Also, CS2 Makoto could fullscreen carry off a fucking air-to-air j.A. 3k+ damage, no RC required. If that doesn't make her case, nothing will.

Please stop spreading misinformation.

I forget the specific situation it happens in, but it's mainly from spacing. It wasn't off of a jump in.

If you are complaining about the executional requirements of a character as a factor of their strength, then you are honestly not at the level where you should be complaining about other characters. If Ragna was "more executionally demanding," but still had the same damage output, he'd be just as powerful as he is now.

However, Ragna's ability to convert random hits into damage is very strong.

I can see people bitching about the fact Yu has a dive kick already, the funny thing is that I think its the first ever dive kick in a fighting game thats not that good, his sword dive is much better lol

anywho enough about Yu, this is the Ragna forum bitches lol

and personally I think Ragna is fine especially when you compare him to how silly some of the rest of the cast gets

but if I had to suggest changes or what I would estimate the changes arc will make they would be

Reduce his damage either back down to the way it was in CS2 and/or Buff his normals to make them safer and/or give him some sort of full screen projectile (ok maybe not but a guy can dream can't he? lol)

that D version of BE sounded fun too

She can't get a full corner carry from j.A, and if she used DP whiff to boost her carry then the proration will be semi dead.

If you mean j.A in the corner then yeah, she can still do it in EX anyway.

@Ragna: He is "ok" now, his easy execution might be bothersome for low~mid level players, but he is still not as dumb as Arakune, Tao, Haku. He is just doing what Makoto did in CS2, a high tier with straightforward style and high reward so expect a lot of hate.

The veredict:

Give Ragna more damage on diffcult/rewarding confirms, lower damage on usual ones.

ie: 6K off 6D and Deadspike. j.C should be 3.4k ish at best.

If Haku is so dumb, why don't I see netplayers spamming him all over the place like they usually do with easy mode characters.

A Deadspike that worked like EXE Beast would be a bit too good against zoners, specifically Lambda. She could never do Spike Chaser if we reacted with said projectile.

Ragna gets like 5k off 6D in the corner and I think 4k-ish on standing if you were close enough to do 5B>6A after Deadspike in the corner. That's already good enough considering those moves are good for pressure if our opponent blocks them. It's hard to really approach this "nerf" thing. Ragna's thing is to punish hard, but now it's like people shit bricks if they get hit by him and even more so if he has meter. CS2 he did decent damage but he just looked meh compared to the higher-tier characters. It's like why play a simple character and do average damage when you play a character with some gimmicks and do more damage. Now he's simple character with higher damage output in pretty much every situation.

Pretty much seems like either....

A) Some other character(s) has/have to do way more damage to make Ragna seem ok (Let's hope that doesn't happen)

B) Ragna goes back to CS2 damage (I don't mind)

C) Everyone gets buffed (Break the fuck out the game possibly)

D) Somehow Ragna requires execution (Yeah.....that's not happening)

These are the ways I see people not hating Ragna.

I got mad at Makoto because of orb oki. ;-;

Everyone is going to hate every character. Just ignore it and play the game.

I dunno, I'm more expecting BB3 Ragna to be more or less the same as Extend but with SLIGHTLY less damage and SLIGHTY safer normals on block as well as SLIGHTY harder confirms.....I like the word SLIGHTY lol

...but at least if with your predictions people wouldn't conplain as much about Ragna being the "mash controller = Win game" character..."as much"

I meant a j.A with Makoto's back to the corner. Omni was the one playing Makoto if you're curious. I even checked in the CS2 combo thread, but I didn't see any j.A starter combos. All I'm saying is that I can't make shit like that up.
