_Sey Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 (edited) Did my first loop in CS2 netplay, 3 reps in the standard bnb. Manly tears. Btw, since I guess most of you lucky westerners already have extend, could someone test if this can be followed up by 3C > Mizuchi or another Gasshoukyaku? Trying it off 5B>3C and 2A>stuff into 3 reps would also be nice. I'm only getting my copy by the end of the month. : < You can always do 3C or 5C 2C 214D~B. The only "problem" is that sometimes you have to dash before 3C, and that may or may not let you connect Mizuchi. I hope someone else will eventually figure out how it works vs Tager do dash 5C 2C 623D or dash 5C 2C 214D~B dash 5C 2C 623D if the proration lets you do so. Edited February 17, 2012 by _Sey
Putin Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Why would you get him out of the corner lol Thanks by the way, I can now rest assured and practice dashing TK as yukkuri slowly as I want. I haven't gotten it to work even once though, I'm just pressing buttons too late? I know the 5C has to connect the same time it would on a non-dashing TK.
_Sey Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 (edited) 1. afaik 3C doesn't work on Tager 2. even if it did, you don't want to test Tager players mashing habits anymore now that he gets retarded damage and heat off anything for no reason; so you may as well throw him across the whole stage and go back to laming him out. Don't try to mash out the dash and try to input it kinda late. As for when you are supposed to input 5C, it's kinda like the 66C everyone had to do in CS2. Edited February 17, 2012 by _Sey
Putin Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 (edited) Bigger hitboxes should make everything connect more easily, fuck Tager. 214D~B to stance oki isn't safe? Well you won't do it if you're magnetized since you'll probably get command thrown, but you can do a safe Zaneiga from distance. Even if it gets blocked he's still pinned in the corner and he doesn't really have any good ways to get out of there. It also eats a primer but it doesn't really matter on this fucker. :V I probably wouldn't go for Rassegna though, haven't tried it but it seems scary against him, but you can always stance cancel and throw out a chain for variety. Also, does Zaneiga oki beat rolls? Thanks for the tips too. Edited February 17, 2012 by Putin
Sadeyo Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Shortening my combos sort of annoy me a little bit. Not liking the idea that 6b floats on CH or possibly AA but it was weird to continue off of it and chain cancelling is far more beneficial in this one when well spaced. Too bad all of my opponents refused uploads so no footage.
MetalMaelstrom Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Not liking the idea that 6b floats on CH Why? You can actually get a full meterless combo off of it now.
Sadeyo Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Why? You can actually get a full meterless combo off of it now. This actually helped! I didn't take note of all of Hazama changes and how often I would be getting it off in an actual match. Hell, I want to experiment with 6a after houtenjin after watching the video. How's the transition for most people? Hazama to me feels more fluid with easier hit confirms compared to his CSII counter-part.
Fang Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 It's probably been done to death, but I'm still having such a hard time with the 214b TK loop execution. I don't have a problem performing the TK with 2147B, but every single time on the initial rep, my 5c whiffs after the 214b and the opponent has the ability to tech. Halp? I hear it all the time to delay the 2147B as much as possible after the 2C, but...I don't know the frame or height yet? It seems like a really tight frame to do so.
MetalMaelstrom Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 We've got you covered. Fang Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 (edited) Off to the lab! Thanks for pointing me in the correct direction. *EDIT* So I take it inputting the TK with 2147B was perhaps my down fall? I haven't practiced the other method. Edited February 18, 2012 by Fang
Sadeyo Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Somehow I knew I was doing the TK loop wrong all this time but the message their was more then enough help. How about we make this 10x easier for all of us and lets post a beginner combo for those who are inexperienced with the TK Loop. My suggestion of combo will most likely get rejected since I don't know where to apply it at but this is what I'm practicing- corner 3c 236d 5c 2c 2147b 5c 2c 2147b 5c 2c 214D~B ps- someone provide something better if this is improper information.
Sadeyo Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 So, do we have a Critique our performance thread or do just post in the Extend video collection? I kind of want some pointers or two in the match-up department as they're up against a various amount of characters with multiple matches...half an hour all together I believe.

You can't believe how much I've been spreading the word about how to do the TK correctly. It's funny how every person who needs help with doing it instantly messages me back that they finally got it to work using the method I posted here a long time ago.

Probably because it didn't matter back then. CSII Hazama was just as good without it and you know I don't have to repeat that. The time it actually matters is when the game is "localized." Exception to some of the few arcades (or homes) that have the cab the same day as the japanese cab release.
