toanenadiz Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 I've been trying to delay my wake-up giant sword so I can beat your Hotaru since you typically make it obvious when you are going to do it. I keep failing to do it. I hoped I had finally done it right.

I don't really mind if you see it coming as long as you either get hit or block. :P I was doing lots of throws on purpose so I could train you to do throw on wakeup so Hotaru would work better too. As for the sword countering, it's just a neat parlor trick, I don't think you really need to worry about it. I mean you were doing fine. You just have to zone more and you did. Although I remember now that a counter is a free hop or dash in at least.

Even when you jump over it, you j.2C never seems to hit me. I always think it will though and fail to punish you though lol.

You dash forward and do 3C from like a mile away. It keeps hitting me because I never expect it to reach that far. I need to adjust to that. But I handled it better by just not jumping at every single opening I see.
