You really want to keep Tager at 6C range on hakumen, not 4C. You can spam the crap out of 6C on him and there's not much he can do besides jump, and a jumping Tager is a much easier Tager to fight (that is until CP lol)

Also if you're in 6C range, chances are I'm gonna whiff stuff like 5D and you can punish it with Renka. Renka will beat Tager's 2D as well I believe if you have the reflexes.

Not to mention 6C usually hits Tager out of his backstep.

{Sorry to keep you waiting.} Got distracted earlier and just stepped out for a smoke.

I was kidding about the Tager matchup advice, lol. I already know how to handle it, just got to adjust to CSE Tager since I haven't fought him much in CSE. 6C is too slow and nets me nothing if it lands. 4C has shitty prorate, but at least I can hit confirm it into something and push you towards the corner. 2D is easily countered on reaction (well, as "easily" as lag will allow... 5D and j.D usually are too, but it's a lot tougher in netplay). If your backdash is getting caught by 6C, you mistimed it, since it only has three active frames vs. Tager's massive invincible frames + four frames of recovery. Max range J.C is really the best poke Hakumen has against Tager, at least until he's magnetized.

Main things I really need to learn for that matchup are things that will come with experience.

Edit: But whatevs, room still up. Anyone wants to join, just jump in.

Edit 2: Not sure how much longer I'm going to be on. Playing online gets frustrating after a while since it's so easy to get away with stupid shit (myself included) that you end up having matches that deviate too far from their offline counterparts. Like not being able to counter stuff on reaction that normally is or people randomly ID'ing like it's SF4 or people playing like idiots and going for Astrals/doing other gimmicky bullshit that's terribad in offline play because "LOL ITROLLU, SO FUNNEH!"

Nothing personal towards anyone, I'm just salty and venting since I haven't been able to get any local matches in lately.

I need a break. Might be back on in a couple hours, if not it's because I'm too irritated.

But I go for astrals offline if I can get in range...The command grab works surprisingly if you can set it up right. It actually works less online since people seem to expect it a lot more often.

And I go for Astrals (online and the like... once in a blue moon I get to play offline) no matter what because I think Noel's is pretty... it's also a legit reversal against some meaties with Noel

I'll try to avoid doing gimmicky netplay-tier Astrals on you in the future, Skeletal, but lord have mercy on you if I get a combo goin' :3

Astrals also have a completely legitimate use in the fact that they kill you instantly without allowing Burst. The same can't be said for most Distortion Drives around ~35% hp. Great example is Hazama's AH off of Bloody Fangs.

Although I don't deny I was starting to get hella annoyed when Gold/Chaos were doing stupid shit during their game. Do that on your own time please!

Fighting Mac is fun. Unlike other people who try to stay above being stupid, Mac will descend into stupid with you. After the first time I did IAD gold burst at the start of the round, I knew Mac would try to counter my gold burst with his own gold burst the next time.
