I just meant that with more people showing interest in supporting it, it's more likely that that'll get in over GG. More people = More (potential) money.

Iza Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 my opinion on the DMC series DMC1 = Ok: voice acting for Dante is hilariously bad though DMC2 = Horrible: do I even have say anything about this one? DMC3 = Best: hack and slash top class DMC4 = Ok: Nero just annoys me with how annoying bland he is but besides that the game had the bad habit of having you fight the same bosses....4 times.....beyond that its alright DmC = Willing to give it a chance but not having high hopes, demo showed the gameplay is alright but the rest....well....I hate just about everything else really ive got pretty much the same opinion, DMC1 a classic tho, overpowered grenade launchers :D

Ni no Kuni is something I need to bother getting, same as Last Story. I'm too much of a hipster JRPG gamer to play them lol. need to give xenoblade another chance I honestly don't see what everyone says is so great about it, the combat is pretty meh from what I've played so far (Like 2 hours in). Everyone just go play Nier, that game is so fucking underrated it makes my balls twitch every time I find someone who has acknowledge its existence. I known 4 people that can tell you differ. Game critics rate it low because they don't understand the concept of a real game. I've tried about 4 times to play Nier and couldn't play for more than an hour Not saying its bad, I guess I'm saying it starts out really slow, maybe I just need to deal, maybe it will get better.......or I could go back to FF9
Kujikawa Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Nier's gameplay is okay, but it's worth playing for the story and the OST alone. Nier isn't the greatest game in the world, thats for sure. The game mostly suffers negative reviews due to it's repetitive and dull combat, it's pretty much a water-downed hack'n'slash where you fight countless of unimaginative enemies that all look the same. I've also heard countless bashing against it's simplistic linear side-quests and that they really have no thought behind them, which is also true (They where very tedious). But when you play a game you should always try to look behind the bad stuff and try to see the good points about it. Long story short, you play Nier for it's story, it's world, setting and context. It truly is one amazing tale, packed with one of the best OSTs of all time (IT even has its own Wikipedia page :3) maybe my rpg tastes aren't as refined but.. It's okay to hate it, a lot of people do. I'm glad that you gave it a try though. Go back to Chrono Cross, I recently finished it again - awesome stuff. Or go play Enchanted Arms made by the "ever-so-brilliant" From Software :3

Fistmaster049 Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 I've played and finished Enchanted arms and...Meh...its not bad...not great I've tried a few From Soft games in previous years and the only one I can say I really like is Dark souls (shrug) might try Chrono cross but Legend of dragoon is number one at the moment on my Rpg "must play" list

An absolute gem from the psx era is alundra, this is one of my favourite games of all time, imagine link to the past with platforming and better puzzles, good on you if you have played it, if not try a get a copy!
