I'd play a ton more Guilty but my 2D Fighting game love has gone downhill since I entered the world of Capcom. I usually play AE since it's my best game by a mile, then I go back to BB and I'm complete ass

I might hop on GG tonight, though. I'll just play Potemkin, I never forget how to play Potemkin.

I'd play guilty is the combo threads weren't complete ass (at least they are for anji) if proper threads are kicking about when the patch is release then I'll learn.

Although doesn't AE count as a 2D fighting game? It certainly functions within the same way.

Oh, and from my experience (With Darret.) and apparently within that of the guys at the Dizzy forums, Potmekin is one of Dizzy's best matchups.

Will that make you play mirrors? I HOPE THAT BALL ISN'T IN THERE FOR NOTHING.

@Simmatron: Not all of them suck. The reason that the Anji combo threads are pretty unuseful is that, being low tier as all hell, he really isn't played much. The Ky ones are fine, as well as Sol, Eddie, Millia, Bridget, Johnny... Actually pretty much any - one aside from Anji. Even Chipp's has some fine things in it.

And it doesn't have to be trial and error, you could just look at the frame data and devise a theory from that.

Don't know why you'd need cool combos. Not like you'd be able to do them in matches, or anything. Just do shit into knockdown into shitsu into mixup. It isn't that hard, really. Random stuff into Fuujin (HS fuujin after 5HS, S after 2D/whatever) > H (delay midscreen) for knockdown or D for combo > (run up if mid screen) 5K 5S > On/air combo.

all im saying it would be nice to have resource to go to and be like, here's a reasonable bnb for every starter, midscreen and corner. thats how i approach learning a new character in BB, once i feel comfortable with a character then i'll go back and be like right, lets optimise what i already know a bit more.

well, reasonable to me is "can I get knockdown? How many hits until I can do that?", but I generally play characters that normally have like 5-hitters for normal combos (zappa) :x

I remember the first real combo I learned in #R was 2P/2K > 236P > RC > 66~5P > 236P > 5P > stuff if I have sword or ghosts. That's so ghetto it hurts to think about it.

I would take GG over BB if it wasn't for the online lag. I don't know about you guys, but the lag is unplayable for me.

And with the lack of offline players, that too.

I'm now hyped about GG again, knowing that no matter how hard I train the lag will prevent me from fighting players.

The lag shouldn't be bad with everyone. It still limits who you can play, though

It isn't terrible to the point of everybody, everywhere, lagging disproportiantely. I, Kanashimi and Darret have fine copnnections with each other, towards the point that, really, the only lag is the usualy netplay alterations: Pretty much exactly the same as BB.
