I still need to finish the story mode on AC+, set up the Wii yesterday and I forgot everything I managed to work on with Dizzy xD I just don't play GG as much as I do BB but it's still fun. Nobody locally plays it really, so I've got hardly anyone to play the game with. I'll get AC+R someday. Someday.

I think people that are into Marvel and AE will give GG a go. It seems to have consensus approval unlike BB. I reckon it'll last a long time, unless they fuck it up.

I'm more hype for AC+R, if that's an option. The reason why I choose +R over a 'real' new game for GG at the moment is 'cause I feel the game kind of needs a little kick first. I took the date on Millia's hat as a nod towards the +R date for consoles (in JP at least), unless this was actually announced.

Though, assuming they kept most of the same mechanics and general feel of the gameplay, I'd pick GGZerd over CP. GG is almost on life support until PS3 and the 360 become 'old' consoles, then it'd only be a matter of time at that point. I'd love to see Guilty Gear live a bit longer. Options and depth are kind of big to me as well.

I don't know how many times I've cried "Why doesn't Gauntlet Hades have an FRC?", "Why doesn't Jin's 6A/6D have an FRC point?", and "why does invuln work off of properties instead of vanishing hitboxes?". Deeper mixup would be cool. Getting smacked out of the air for being dumb is one thing, but whiffing through Arakune's 5C with something like Haku's j.2C doesn't exactly make sense looks-wise.

Small rant aside... I actually think that a number of GG's mechanics could be improved upon without disrupting players already accustomed to the series, while being beneficial to others (and myself; I'm pretty bad at FRC's :roboky:).

So guys, just wondering if any of you have heard of Heart of Gaming yet? There are a few people that go there and play GG but I was wondering if there was any interest I could wrangle from here too.

OH SEEN ROBO.

Yeah it looks like Friday is the day we will be getting something regular going, and if there is enough interest for Wednesday (or any other day for that matter), we can try sort that out too. So for any players in London (or just visiting) Friday evenings are the time if you want to learn/play etc some GG.

Edit: Also for anybody interested, GG is one of the tournaments at Ultimate Clash this weekend

I'll 100% make it to HoG sometime. Just bought a Leeds Festival Ticket so I'm broke for a couple of months now. One day, though!

I'm just gonna copy and paste my previous post.

A new session has been announced. 'Weekly Shonen Burst' is a string of casuals and tournaments that will take place at 'Heart of Gaming'.

"The season will start from May the 1st and end on July's Ultimate Clash (Which is the 22nd of July). Both events (Ultimate Clash and Weekly Shonen Burst) will be worth points. Ultimate Clash will be worth 2 times the points."

The game line up will be:

-Arcana Heart 3

-BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend

-Persona 4 Arena

Entry fee for the weekly will be £4 for venue, and £3 per tournament. Out of that tournament fee, £2 will go towards the pot for that week, while £1 goes to the season pot for that game. Each weekly tournament will have a Pot Split: 60/30/10

Format: Double Elimination first to 2 all the way

The whole season will be using a ELO system for ranking and point distribution.

Be sure to get more details of the event and venue through the following link

Weekly Shonen Burst Facebook page

GGXXAC is always there on the arcades, and GGXXAC+ can always be provided on console if more interest is there. Nothing is stopping anyone from playing GG during the Wednesday, and there are plenty of people that plays the game there during that event.

Ultimate Clash 2 is this weekend, and tournaments are on Sunday

Guilty GG's to everybody yesterday~

Why, exactly, have I been using fish in neutral as uncommonly as I did until now? They're amazing for that stuff.

Venom is too fun, I regret leaving it untill now to actually sit down and learn this character.

Well aparently we had another couple of newer players down this Friday (I wasn't unfortunately), a May player and a Venom player, it sounds like things are going a little better.

Tough to hear you guys are in middlesborough, I know one of the older fighting games players from around that area (although I think he is more newcastle or possibly consett) but all the same, if you can make it down some time that would be great.

So if you were the Venom and May players, what did you think of the place? Would you come down more regularly?

And no offense to Zoular, I've met you a few times and you come across as a nice guy (and I'm sure you genuinely are) but apart from Pawndriver there aren't any of the burst guys that 'play' Guilty Gear really so we kind of have to arrange our meeting according to what's best for us. Not saying people shouldn't come down on Wednesdays for extra games (I personally think they should), just that if you can make it down 1 day a week, come on the day when there are 8 people to play against and not 2.

If you play BB or AC or P4A as well though, by all means come down of weds to get more games in.

P.S. If yopu want any of those Potemkin lessons you are more than welcome Zoular, you can actually use a grappler that's good in GG :P

Please don't use potemkin zoular, playing against your tager was upsetting enough, but potemkin? it could only cause fury lol (for reference, i'm the guy that was just learning BB the other week, playing Tao)

@Guerrilla No worries I don't take offense to that, I was just making a suggestion to find more players, but if majority of the Guilty lot are there on the Friday then don't mind what I said, people should also try to make the Ultimate Clash sessions too, that's when the tournaments for it will be held.

I was suggesting Wednesday if people wanted more days to play, as well as play others on other Arc games.

@ojay I saw your question in the T&Q section, I sorta figured that out from the get go. ;)

I'd jump on Jam and Millia right away if I were to play GGXXAC+ to be honest. Robocop kinda gave me the peep talk at a KoF session in Gamerbase one time

You should jump on, the more the merrier. A Millia player would be nice. I actually did want to try and see if there was interest for a Wednesday, trying to find times good for the majority currently, also it provides an opportunity to draw some of you guys to the dark side.
