-Seo Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 I'm willing give it up to anyone offering me a great gaming experience Too bad neither company is doing that.
Adam0812 Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 (edited) Too bad neither company is doing that. Other than Titanfall, nothing else interests me really, so I'm in agreement with you there seo EDIT: actually transistor on ps4 looks interesting, I really loved bastion Edited June 22, 2013 by Adam0812
-Seo Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Titanfall looked alright, as did Destiny. Transistor looks amazing, but I'd get it on PC anyway, lol. Not much else I can remember really stood out honestly. Both consoles will be shit on launch, and will be for a good few months.
YukiBlue Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Apple have my credit card details, so do Sony, so do PayPal and so do Microsoft. If someone wanted to defraud me they could and they don't need kinect 2.0 to do so.Just regarding Kinect, Why does it have to face us constantly? Serious Q. Afro you say you are so invested in your favourite hobby, yet how games do you actually buy as opposed to rent from lovefilm? Contributing nothing in the process, I am guilty of this too as are a lot of people. I'm not saying you shouldn't do it, of course it's a great way to discover new games you may have otherwise not. But this behaviours drives things like DLC and tacked on multiplayer and I really don't think you can be surprised given that games have remained the same price for about 15 years now (getting cheaper relatively because of inflation) Why would I buy a full price game from EA only to have to fork out more money for on-disk DLC and paid multiplayer? No chance am I supporting methods like that. If a bi ggame I want is coming out, I'll support the Developers and Pre-Order a special edition. As seen with games like Skyrim, Dark Souls, Rome: TW2 and the fact I buy champions in LoL almost every other week simply due to the fantastic service they offer you for FREE. Take P4, I would have bought that Day 1 if not for the 1 year delay. Mortgaging my house to pay for xbl? Yer that £40 per year really breaks the bank, but at least you can still do online multiplayer without paying on ps4.....nawwwwPSN+ Hammers XBL at the minute, Free games and miniscule differences in the online gaming department. Though it looks like Xbox Live on the Xbox One is going to dominate again, is it really worth the price? Like seriously? Oh but don't worry, Xbox Live is giving free games, starting with Halo 3 and Assassins Creed 2 Plus these people on the Internet who believe Sony is your mate and 'all about gamers' and Microsoft are the enemy are deluded, it's all about the cash at the end of the day and I'm willing give it up to anyone offering me a great gaming experience Then you're part of the problem, to be honest. A quality gaming experience has gone from "A quality, well made game" to "A game that works" fuck everything in between. Sony came out of the gates with an unrestricted, powerful console made for gamers. What did MS do? AAAAAAAGH. Just fuck Next-Gen. It's gotten to the point where it's just not fun to game on a console anymore if you're not well off enough to afford to splash out £40/50 on release for a new game, sure you can go Pre-Owned, but then you've gotta worry if you're getting the full game or not. Shit aint Cool. I don't wanna become a PC Master-Race dickhead. But my lord is it better. I have something stronger than both consoles, with the same games. the main difference being it's going to save me literally hundreds of pounds over the years. *Goes back to LoL to cool off*

Adam0812 Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 The only difference between Sony and Microsoft is the way the console is marketed, they both do the same stuff. The amount of fighting games you play you should no that 'minuscule' difference between psn and xbl is in fact worth the price of admission, just ask monolith about his fighting game experiences on psn since he got a ps3. I would quite happily get a PC but then I'd be missing out on console exclusives and the thought on missing out on the likes of the last of us doesn't sit well and PC exclusives are my thing
YukiBlue Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Hey, I know people that swear by the PS3 Online. I personally don't think it's as good, but fuck paying a fee for that. What extras do we really get? Shit, last free game I got from Microsoft was a Arcade launch title in 2007.
Adam0812 Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Except they're not really free, stop paying for ps+ and they're gone. It's still great value though. You don't need extras with xbl, for the cost of a pint each month I get a better experience and party chat, but I guess you've never used that. The fact people are willing to pay for gold is probably part of the reason ms have invested in 300,000 servers
Adam0812 Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 (edited) Messi has slightly shinier boots 14' You should be grateful he does, the money that lines EA's pockets from the sales of their yearly iterations means they can afford to green light stuff like mirrors edge 2. Errol Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Hey UK. Is there anything like tales that I should play? thanks.
Errol Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 I mean like Tales, but not tales. I enjoyed graces enough even though the story/characters were so boring and bland. Like those Atelier games, are those any good.
Starlight777 Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 All of them, except Legendia and Graces. The weird thing is, I thoroughly enjoyed Legendia.

psycofang2 Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Like those Atelier games, are those any good. they are quite good, ayesha is on the... empty side though but its a good starting game to get used to the new system that atelier escalogy will bring next year. for the ones we have id say start with rorona if possible to understand the concept behind it, and the characters and the story. totri is #2 of the arland/rorona series so thats also a good starting point its alos very lenient. meruru is the last of the arland series and its battle system and mechanics surpass the 1st 2 by a margin. i wouldnt advise starting with this 1. they are good, it revolves around time management, exploration, raising friendships and doing quests and getting muliple endings. i will also admit the games humor is prety nice, and no plot pressure ;nothing high end like saving the world or being the chosen 1. just an average life of an alchemist.
-Seo Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 (edited) The weird thing is, I thoroughly enjoyed Legendia. Legendia is alright. Graces is a fucking horrible mess of bad anime cliches. Try out the Ys games though. Origin and Oath in Felghana are decent places to start. Edited June 23, 2013 by -Seo

-Seo Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 (edited) Nah, Origin is more like a Ys 0, lol. Ys Chronicles is 1 and 2 and Oath in Felghana is a remake of 3. You can get Felghana, Origin and Chronicles on steam pretty damn cheap. 1 and 2 take around 1~2 hours each, whereas Origin and Felghana are a good few hours longer. Edited June 23, 2013 by -Seo

-Seo Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Chronicles keeps the bump system, but Origin and Felghana share a different system, so there's actual swordplay involved and enemies actually have attack animations and stuff.
psycofang2 Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 sounds cool...and not so cool at the same time. i am conflicted. ill try it out though.
