You're right actually. I think that's why I liked Nier and Dark/Demon Souls so much, departs from that trope a bit (although they're more HnS but whatever.)

Nobody think that Gwyn was the best? That atmosphere took my breath away. You defeat denizens of hell itself only to culminate in a bottle with an old man who is scared of the dark.

Yeah it was a pretty cool fight.

Check out all the other SMT games as well, they never get enough credit (P4 is actually very different to the style of previous SMT games).

And a seemingly useless new move added in too for good measure.

Yeah, Arakune's ones seem pretty mean. At least you have a cool Astral now!

Nah, just picked her up alongside Yosuke. Playing her and Yosuke's story mode really changed my opinion about her.

She's really fun to play as well which is a plus.
