Shruikon Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 She has 236C/D which provide good ways of getting in214X has projectile invincibility (Though 214D being the most significant) But 236C/D and both unsafe on block so you need either meter or stock to make them safe (or, less unsafe in the case of stock). I thought 214X only had Head/Body invuln, not projectile invincibilty. Didn't you test this out before by finding that we couldn't go through Rachel's Pumpkin because it had foot attribute or something? Her 5c is pretty beastly too haha. Generallly a few of her normals are pretty sweet from what i've seen? Completely off-topic but Dark Souls is too good I swear. 5C is really good yeah. 5B is still a good poking tool imo since it's only 1 frame slower iirc, but it's extended recovery is the real killer there. I really, really need to get back to Dark Souls...
Kiba Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 (edited) Her 5c is pretty beastly too haha. Generallly a few of her normals are pretty sweet from what i've seen? All of her normals are good in their own way, except 2BB imo. But 236C/D and both unsafe on block so you need either meter or stock to make them safe (or, less unsafe in the case of stock). Despite them being unsafe she still has something to use to get in, even if it's not to catch the opponent. Using stock doesn't make them safe btw, because you're still taking the risk of getting countered as the followups are unsafe on block. The good thing is that it does provide mindgames, catching mashers, those trying to jump away, etc. I thought 214X only had Head/Body invuln, not projectile invincibilty. Didn't you test this out before by finding that we couldn't go through Rachel's Pumpkin because it had foot attribute or something? That was a mistake on my part. Sorry, though she still can bypass projectiles that do not have foot attribute. Edited April 15, 2012 by Kiba
Chazmobile Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 I didn't realise that they made D shield skills so unsafe on block. Damn.
-Kid Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 (edited) When i hear complaints about ragna, it just sounds like salt to me. Honestly. But it doesn't really matter anymore. Oh btw guys i won't be able to play online for like 3 weeks starting today because of exams and stuff. Edited April 15, 2012 by -Kid

I do need to start cancelling 236C into 22D/214D more often as ways of entry and such I think. And also I need to start using RCs more often instead of saving them for 3CC stuff. I think I'm still performing moves only with the intention to hit rather than using them for spacing and such (like j.214X for example)
Fistmaster049 Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Dark Souls is not that hard if you know what your doing. Ornstein and Smough wern't too hard with Solaire. It is a good game, but I can't play it for too long in one session. I don't see how people can do that all day. April Tier List by tier whore Satoshi: S: Ragna, Taokaka, Arakune, Hakumen, Lambda, Mu, Valkenhayn, A: Everyone Else Satoshi plays Ragna now, so I'm not surprised he kept him S tier, he always plays the best characters. tbh, It is a ridiculous tier list, 7 S-Tiers doesn't make sense. Most balanced FG? My Tier list: A+: Valk, Hakumen, Taokaka, Ragna, Arakune A: Everyone Else A-: Tsubaki, Makoto Didn't realise Valk had gotten so godlike, he seems about the same to me my personal take on the tier list S: Arakune, Tager, Ragna, Tao A: Hakumen, Bang,Mu B: Everyone else C: Tsubaki, Makoto
Chazmobile Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Valk's always been pretty godlike. I was actually just about to write this haha.
Kujikawa Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 So has Taokaka. All my exams are in May, just after my Birthday. Btw, Platinum's release was on my birthday! If I only had other viable reasons why I actually main her -.-
geckotide Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Soloing Ornstein and Smough on NG++ with no shield is clear proof that I have the biggest stones here.
-Seo Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Waiting on that PC release of Dark Souls. Enjoyed what little I played of Demons Souls, so I'm hyped up to play it.
Kriegdrache Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Its great, but the online community can be fucking awful at times. I remember watching my brother invade people with an Ornstein build. Shit was pretty classy actually, and he was pretty fair. Never griefed anyone and allowed the other guy to heal up if they wern't at full life.
Chazmobile Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Being a Forest Hunter you never usually get chance to bow and all that jazz. It's kill or be killed. Which is precisely why I use that build I typed earlier, quick, efficient kills.
YukiBlue Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 I used to run Darkwraith set with RoF and other bullshit for a while. Then I manned the fuck up and Ran Darkwraith + Ornstein Mashups with various rings I cant remember. People were pretty honourable in Londo. I always bowed, But eventually people took advantage of that so I just went all pyro pew pew.
Chazmobile Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Sunbros are awesome. Awesome to backstab when they spam Wrath of God/Lightning
YukiBlue Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Can I ask what reactions you all had when fighting Gwyn? I was like "Dude! Stop! Nooo! You're old and I don't want to kill you! Stop attacking meee!" Same with sif, man

Chazmobile Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 'Yo Solaire, I know he's your Dad and all. But, you take him on while I just chill here and laugh.'
YukiBlue Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 ME3 > Dark Souls Come at me for stating dem' truths.

YukiBlue Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 As a gaming experience. ME3 blew Dark Souls out of the water. However, ME lost it's RPG elements more and more each game. Whatever. And shit, I have college in the morning. SLEEP AHOYYYYY
