I'm just kind of moving between them. I think I'm failing to see the big difference between the styles.

Full I know you can charge and it's more basic fighting game style, by what I read. Half is faster. C? No clue.

I need to get a good guide on the mechanics of F, H, and C I suppose first and then tinker around with Sacchin in all three and see which I like most. Without playing against actual people...

Oh well, if I make it to NL for the next monthly/tournie I will get to play a few people I guess. :x

All 3 moons are hella different for Sacchin.

The basic differences:

C is closest to AC. bounces doesn't push you as far as it does in PS2 and they are easier.

H is a generic Half moon character with sandoori, can charge j.B

F is like a hybrid of C and H.

One thing for sure, all 3 moons have different 236C's.

Hi I main and love Sacchin.

Yeah I just went through and played around on all three. Noticed the big differences.

Not sure which I liked more. ~sigh~ C and H seem to be the most popular though, but I thought F was fun.

On another note, I love Sacchin, too. She's fun to mess around with in lab, and her design is adorable~ And that Backalley Alliance from...

I just had a brain dump moment and canno--

Carnival Phantasm! /facedesks

She needs more hugs~

Sacchin-ism.^

I don't like H much.

Too much normal combos and not enough dunks.

I like F but the dunk combos are harder in that moon.

I main C because it's the style I am most familiar with.

I'll have to keep playing around with her in all three moons in lab. :(

I just found (thanks to Sayuri) the wiki page for her so I guess that's a healthy start for learning moves. Will give plenty of time just to practice combos and see how she moves until I can find people who play nearby (not holding my breath), and get some real life practice in.

You may have to netplay.

BTW I wanna warn you that Satsuki does not play like a melty blood character.

She plays her own game, it's called "satsuki the game".

I noticed.

And Random Match doesn't work for beans with my game. :x Someone said I'd have to use direct connects instead? Oh well...

I noticed she's fairly different from everyone else though. Especially since the first characters I messed around with in story/arcade was Len and Ryougi. An obvious difference is obvious.

No biggie, I wasn't blaming you or anything. Just pointing that out~

If you ever pick up Ryougi, do yourself a favor and just pick up F-Ryougi.

Posted

I'll probably go the F-Ryougi, C-Sacchin set. Main Sacchin, Sub Ryougi.

Since the latter is more easier to get into than the former play wise.

I was playing around with C-Ryougi earlier after breaking from C-Sacchin in lab. :x

Didn't get into playing F-, and H-Ryougi yet.

I'm so bad with grapple characters...

Then again I'm attempting to learn Sacchin, and she can arguably be considered the same. /:

Is Sacchin considered a grappler?

Posted

Sacchin isn't a grappler she just has retarded oki and retarded damage off command grab.

I did about 6k off command grab with her and it's not hard.

Also F-ryougi? That broken character lol.

I need to learn to combo after her command grabs then. :(

I know I can air dunk if I launch them, and should be able to dribble at some point in certain combos...unless that's a F/H thing.

But yeah, I haven't learned that much yet. I'm just getting comfortable with finding what set ups lead into command grabs and which moves are the grabs.

I want to assume 421, 63214, 236 are all grab inputs...

That's just by pulling them off on inputs. So my guesses could be wrong.

I really don't think I can just theory learn her in lab...

Just dropping by to ask a quick question for Cor and Agi:

Does this thread right here, the general thread, have any such thing as "Off Topic" or is it just "Talk about anything you want as long as you don't break forum rules"?

Posted (edited)

Yeah pretty much anything that doesn't break the rules here, and laser cow gameplay specific stuff in the other thread.

I mash with C Sion and C/F-Aoko. I want to play Princess Arcueid too for her fabulous dress. I would grind Melty more but my computer is too ancient to even run MBAACC at full speed...

C and F does dribble BnB's.

you can only do 1 dribble off command grab because it counts as a ground bounce.

You can only do 2 ground bounces and 2 wall slams in melty.

Sacchin's 236C resets the counter back to 1.

Oh here's a link to a cool tutorial I uploaded on my youtube channel:

Aoko is awesome. The problem with Melty is it has a handful of some of my favorite Nasu-verse characters and I want to play them all~

But in the end I picked Sacchin. Why? Because she's so kewt.

Axis, Lumin, how good of a char is...uhh...fuck, I forgot her name, but the really cute white haired girl that fights with a cello?

I was really caught between choosing Len and her, and i ended up opting for len, but I still want to know a bit about her.
