pochp Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Well the Murakumo capsule thing at the end of the trailer has Nu's crest on it. I have faith Nu/Mu will be back in some form. Arcsys doesn't usually ditch characters like that, and Nu is supposed to be resurrected in the story. They actually did kill kliff and justice after the first guilty gear and are only bringing them back in the next one, so I'm slightly worried that they won't be released with the game initially. Worst case scenario I'll just play ragna or whoever is simple and strong while waiting.

If she truly doesn't return, then I got Hakumen/Noel to fall back on, but we'll see. I'm sure she'll make like a console unlockable of some sort. Those are always fun...... unless they do something stupid and make it DLC only.
pktazn Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 I have hope that Mu is still in coming from a gameplay standpoint. People do play her so it wouldn't make sense for them to just remove her (and Lambda/Nu) completely. Maybe they haven't figured out something for her Overdrive yet?
Gemakai Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 What would be a good overdrive that isn't broken? The only idea I have is her turrets continuously shoot... but even that might be too powerful. So much screen control.

Boss character is seeming likely though since I didn't see Nu in that trailer either. Stretchy Kimono girl and Manly McBufferton dude look interesting, but need to see actual gameplay. That Bullet girl looks like she plays a lot like Makoto though lol. Edit: wait Amane is a dude Maybe you pissed off Mori at ReveLAtions when you asked him to draw you that picture of Mu on your stick and he was like "lolwtf?" Then he told his staff he can't draw anymore Mu fan art, so he told them to just delete her.

Too much of a waste. 2 fully developed gameplay mechanics... Also, Lambda may pretty much be called one of the best and cleanest zoners of all the games ever.

I'm still hoping it's like pktazn says, that they're not sure of how their Overdrives should work and they'll be playable in another loketest. I'll say this much though, I never found any character in the game to be as much fun, and offer as much creativity, as Mu does (except maybe Rachel), despite some of the dumb stuff she has. To not include them would be a huge waste of two characters that still have a lot of potential.

One of the BBCP stages features a murakumo graveyard, and will all the allusions to the 13th being rebuilt, I would consider it impossible at this point, from a business standpoint, to scrap two characters that they've invested so much raw manpower in animating and balancing.
