Stay out of the D, it's bad for your health.

Detroit is always serious business.

And I'd like to hear what type of songs you were considering. Most CMVs I see have rock, animu, or character theme/remixed theme songs in them.

after careful consideration, i've come up with these two:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHdyS3jf3vQ

the first song is entitled 'windspeaks' by Nujabes. this guy is one of my favorite artists because his music does something to the mind and body. its enchantingly beautiful and i'd recommend it to anyone.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNggjUgy8KM&feature=related

next up is 'oblivious' by Kalafina. now l have no idea what these ladies are saying, but the beat has a 'serious' tone that im looking for. also, they also wrote 'lacrimosa' which is very emotional as well.

l hold very high esteem for both these artists, but l can only choose one.

I'd go for Kalafina, since for some reason most of their songs remind me of Rachel to some extend.

I actually prefer the one by Nujabes, it's so groovy. The second one is cool but I'm kinda tired of anime music in my BB combo vids lol.

Both songs are great. Just go with whatever you want, imo. I mean, I used Hatsune Miku music in my CMV, haha.

So, somehow I'm reminded of the long dead Rachel tutorial video project. While it was never completed (it's still at 95% or so, lol), I don't really know what to do with the part I do have on my hard drive. Should I just delete it?

thanks guys. im really leaning toward nujabes too, just wanted to give kalafina a chance. still a draft though so the finished product might not have either song @tari well a visual tutuorial never hurts, but really everything about rachel is in the forums. the only thing newbies would have a hard time using is wind, imo.

What's included in the video? If there's wind usage, approach, mix-ups, normals, ... you should probably upload it. It's always cool for new people to have visuals they can work with instead of going through trial and error because they only have plain inputs.

Whelp i'm gonna be repping Rachel at our monthly meet-up thing today. Seeing as I don't get chance to practice in the week i'm a tad rusty but i'll try my best. You might catch me on stream.

Wish me luck!

It covers all the normals, specials, and some basic wind usage. Some of the specials and the wind usage sections aren't commented/notated/subtitled/etc., though, so I doubt those are particularly useful as is. Though CSX isn't that different, it's still worth noting that all info in the video pertains to CS2, as well.

tari are you snci'ing? i don't want to be the only loli vampire

I'll be there, but I can't say I'll really have a good showing. Haven't played much BB since mid-December, and what little time I have played has been split between Rachel and Plat. Still, we'll see. :D

You know it!

At least I had the consolation that I played half decent with Bang though.

Hmmm, changing avatars one more time. Might go back to the cake one, though. This one's turned out a bit more jagged-edged than I'd like.

edit: changed to a larger version. original version is here. Still not sure which one I want to use more... but this one's cleaner. >_>
