I always felt that these tests are a moot point. All they do is test within your state/city. Most of the time we netplay with people in other areas where your ping isn't going to be as great.

ok im sorry for posting this stuff again and we should probably stop since its off topic, but WTF.

Better ping in NJ than in my own area? Idk whether to say stay free SC (I live in NC, but they gave me a test in SC), or stay godlike NJ. kinda confused though. MI i also had 50 ping which is why i guess it was ok to netplay Skye and Axis. Skye's godlike ping kept everything stable probably.

Even though the Speed Test shows ping, people should do the actual Ping Test instead just to get a better idea. Then take it a step further and do it to multiple states and multiple distances.

Ping / "Frames of Lag":

VA = 32ms = 1.9

DC = 40ms = 2.4

PA = 42ms = 2.5

NY = 42ms = 2.5

GA = 42ms = 2.5

QC = 49ms = 2.9

OH = 51ms = 3

IL = 56ms = 3.3

ON = 60ms = 3.5

FL = 65ms = 3.8

MI = 65ms = 3.8

TX = 75ms = 4.4

CA = 98ms = 5.7

WA = 112ms = 6.6

AB = 116ms = 6.8

CAL = 126ms = 7.4

UK = 127ms = 7.5

KOR since JPN had no servers = 251ms = 14.8 lol

If you consider that 5 frame buffer or whatever it is, you can see how the distance can make the differences more apparent. Or if you think of how fast overheads are or throw break windows, you potentially have that many frames less to react to it, in theory.

Setup a static IP for your PS3 and then put it into DMZ mode through your modem/router page on your PC. This will make it "open" to all connections. It won't make your connection necessarily better, but in theory it should help with connectivity between connections so that nothing is interfering with it on your end.

Beyond that all you can do is have it plugged straight to a modem if possible, make sure no one else is using any bandwidth at the same time, and upgrading the connection itself.

I think quite the opposite. I feel like I can't do anything against TD when we play.

It seems like Rachel has control of the match for the most part, and has at least some form of tools to deal with Bang from a defensive standpoint whether it's at neutral, under pressure, on oki, etc.. IMO, the match-up doesn't feel like it is in Bang's favor, or if anything it is at least even. At best I could go with 5.5-4.5 Bang's favor just because, but it sure doesn't feel like 6-4 when I play or from all the Japanese matches I've watched. While someone on the Bang forums think it is 7-3 in Bang's favor, which blows my mind, but apparently it's true going by what you say as well.

But then again I don't really have a ton of match-up experience, so what do I know, lol. Maybe if I start going with the Give Zero Fucks mentality that I keep being told to do, the match-up will feel different.

All I did was just hit kodim in places he shouldn't be pressing buttons and just play neutral as best I can.

Our 2nd match with Bang had me guile theme him when I had about 10% health and he had near full health.

That is demoralizing.

Nah, XDest is XDest. I don't think I'll run into any more Tao's like him. NeoGeo is a good Tao too, so I'll try fighting him next. It's been awhile since I fought Harakiri_Tiger so I can't remember how good he is.

All the other Taos I fight let me land drives for free.
