Maybe your 'normal' play is wrong and you should just press buttons into hit confirms all the time?

That's what I've been told numerous times, and I hate the fact that it works more than I think it should. I don't like winning matches like that cause it feels like I just "scrubbed out" and stole matches. I just gotta try to get better I guess and grind it out.

Do not underestimate the power of randomness! In effect, it has been scientifically and mathematically proven that adding some element of randomness provides a better outcome than a so-called "optimal" solution. The real trick to winning is not "solid play", but to land a hit. And to land a hit, the other guy can't be expecting it or he'll just block whatever you throw at him. Adding a bit of random to your play can improve the odds of landing said hit. In essence, don't give any fucks and keep pressing the advantage. Thinking too much can lead to a worse outcome than you'd like.
NeoGio0o Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Zeth the best thing you can do is implement a mixture of randomness with solid play. It's obvious you can't be as conservative and always blocking like Raiza (gets him killed) or as combo/Abare neutral as feux. Look for what works specifically for you. Bang can be played a plethora of ways due to his install and abundant tools in comparison to the majority of the cast so keep experimenting.
