Yeah I'm not too worried about P4A taking over. The first few days BB may not have a lot of lobbies, but that's a given. I think most people wouldnt mind a break so that way when BB3 does come out we'll actually play it.

zeth07 Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 (edited) I mentioned it somewhere else rather vaguely, but I think there is a bit of a double standard happening with P4U in relation to BB and other fighting games in general, and people just have on rose-colored glasses at the moment in my opinion. I don't want to be "that guy", but the P4U at MLG thing is just ridiculous. The game hasn't even come out yet, hasn't had a single "American" tournament to go by, it got a patch ~3 months after release, and probably 95% of the people talking about it have not even touched the game. Not to mention the fact that there has been some stupid shit in game already, but I guess the patch fixed some of it at least. And the idea that BB was too "easy" and gets chastised for it, and yet this game makes things even easier and it gets nothing but praise. People are acting like it is the second coming of Jesus or something. And I'm not saying I don't want the game to succeed or for it to not somehow get into MLG, I just think people should hold off on all that and let the game "earn" it's spot once it is proven to be good and have the tournament support. I think people are getting ahead of themselves just because it is "new" and Persona. floatwater Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 ZETH. has the point, i'm not saying niether has to crash n burn but i just feel like i wasted 2+ years trying to play the game when all i see in American (sometimes japanese) tournament footage of them just not even playing it serious since GodsGarden. i'm not saying that's bad either, i've also seen a MAJOR lack in people playing, haven't seen Buppa, Tetsu, Shounen, Sakamoto and a couple other players pop up and that goes for us too. it just bums me out that it's just "imma play this till this or this comes"

Because I'm only slightly interested in it to begin with, and knowing what I do know about the game there are already things I don't like about it. There are things I don't like about BB or GG as well, but the whole only being slightly interested in it adds more weight to it. I'm just not hype for it like most people seem to be.

It could flop or it could thrive, it all depends on the people who play it and we'll see after the first month or two just how well it's doing. it just bums me out that it's just "imma play this till this or this comes" That's pretty much what I'll be doing, I'm not really all that hyped up for either P4U or the new GG. Hell, I just play KoF because other people here play it, not because I'm genuinely interested in it lol. When the new BB is announced though... ALL OF MY HYPE.
