toanenadiz Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 im not really mad he was winning, im mad i didnt learn anything because bang v lambda is just lambda blocking after one mistake. id rather learn to keep people out than keep missing a sword and eatting half my health then dying to an online mixup. yes but any other character has 2nd chances and doesnt have nails for easy access to your anus. Edit: also forgot gaurd point teleports and 2 airdashes. Welcome to the match-up. You gotta learn your spacing and how to not fuck up. Bang is (arguable) the easiest of Lambda's big 4 bad match-ups. At least it isn't like the CS1 match-up.

At least it isn't like the CS1 match-up. exactly why im mad in the first place because with bang you cant really start anything without a huge risk till his nails are gone. id rather he played a character hes not really that familiar with rather than beating on me shamelessly. itd be nice if someone here had a mindset to help another learn rather than "i'm going to beat u till u give up or learn everything at once".

Zeth is Bang. He doesn't have another character. The best way to learn the match-up is by playing it. Zeth is probably the best Bang you could learn the match-up from. Feux and Raiza would be even more unforgiving than Zeth and I think everyone else just has a pocket Bang.

Isn't that basically Lambda's whole shtick? You guess right with a sword you either get damage and put the opponent into the same damn thing or you at least get them to block and put them into the same distance to repeat the process. You guess wrong and miss and they are near you, you deserve to lose your life. If any character makes a mistake they should be blocking after it or taking damage, Lambda should be no different. I don't really see how your learning is somehow different between the two, that makes no sense to me. I'm not gonna LET you keep me out the whole time, so I don't really see where you're coming from with that. It sounds confusing. What's an online mixup? Not that it matters anyway, you still got Ragna to fall back on. What? You asked if someone wanted to play, and your Lambda seemed more than good enough to fight against me. It's not like you were a "new" player, you have even played more matches than me in Extend, lol. Not really sure how I was being disrespectful, I was just playing the game. You know what the first character I fought as Platinum is? Ragna. Fuck Ragna. But hey I can beat Ragna's consistently now. Also Lambda versus Bang is horrible even when you know the match up. Too much work.

Sev said one thing in the Lambda v Bang match up that was pretty nice. At the start of the round do IAD forward to avoid the nails. Pretty rad. Doesn't work all the time, but it's really cool man, learning things and stuff. So yeah, Bang match-up ain't that bad. All ya gotta do is play smart. Like, you see that button that's hotkeyed to your drive? Don't use it a lot. Bang has two dashes, you miss, he's in. It's all bout dat spacing, which Lambda is so proud of.

Asking someone to go "easy on you" is like the opposite of trying to learn. Go hard or go home, you're not going to learn the easy way.
