Kiba Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Glooooooobal has a lot of bad traits that makes playing him quite annoying. See this is why I really just play with friends. Save myself the trouble.
Soviet Bear Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 TBH I didn't bother playing you seriously after a few rounds :p Since i was more anxious fighting glooooobal Gee, trample over my morale some more :P But yea, I enjoyed watching the matches between you two. Shame you can't save other people's replays.
Kiba Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Sorry man I don't mean to hurt your feelings at all!
mAc Chaos Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 If he's mashing D because he's still learning the ropes, just punish it the way you would punish DP happy Ragnas. If it's annoying because he knows when to go for it, then that's nothing new. Pretty much everybody gets salty once they get countered. Well, except for me, but I just think "well played" when I walk into another Haku's counter.
Kriegdrache Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Being mashy scumbags is what netplay hakumens do best though.
mAc Chaos Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 It's a hilarious loop. Mash D ~> guy gets salty and rushes down harder ~> it's even easier to counter him

Save myself the trouble. And this is why I found PSN so disappointing. I dunno, maybe it's just me but to me, that kind of goes against the idea of a fighter. Not playing with anyone who challenges you to play differently. I'm hardly white as snow when it comes to this, I've ragekicked plenty a Liz/Tao in my day but usually I give them a few games first. I bought the PSN copy of CSE hoping to have a bigger playerbase but instead all I got was a huge list of private rooms.

mAc Chaos Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 If ranked is anything like XBL then it sucks and has only one person on it ever.
Errol Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 You could always, you know, open a room yourself.

I'll play you if you like, I hate Tager mirrors more than anything and I'm in the PNW which isn't exactly close, but if you're interested I'm MojoPlenty on psn.

Well I'm not actually a Tager main, I can go Haza/Haku/Relius as well. But I'm mega-gimp on PS3 pad at present, but mainly my Haza is the one that suffers most from that. I'll send you an friend request in a sec. I hate Tager mirrors too, we ain't doin' that shit lol. And lol @ ranked matches/opening a room myself. My point is that no one joins open rooms. I've tried. To my knowledge, ranked is a ghost town as well. And I generally hate ranked anyway because I like rematches. Edited January 30, 2013 by Ctrlaltwtf
Kriegdrache Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 If I ever have a room open and you're willing to risk the connection, feel free to join. Im rusty as fuck and need to get back on the saddle tbh.
Soviet Bear Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 My point is that no one joins open rooms. I usually just open a room and go do stuff on my PC until the gamepad starts vibrating loudly with happiness against the desk. Longest wait I've had that way was 20 minutes possibly.

EDIT: Oh my GOD I have got to change my announcer. I'm on the floor laughing at the moment. Edited January 31, 2013 by Ctrlaltwtf
bakahyl Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Gloooooobal is annoying to fight but at the same time he is pretty predictable. Plus it's somewhat more challenging to fight him as mu, seeing that i can't get away with almost every oki that i normally use oddly enough i still win most of the time against him, despite that i do stupid things
Kiba Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 When I have open rooms I barely get anyone either. I am willing to play against anyone with a 1 bar connection though I don't mind playing against people from here on 0 bars. Fair enough Bakahyl, and he is.

I bought the PSN copy of CSE hoping to have a bigger playerbase but instead all I got was a huge list of private rooms. What would I rather do, Play people who I know I have at least a decent connection to and in most cases will play more than one game, when I'm trying to play immediately and not wait around for people to join? or Play randoms who could have horrible connections / live far away, and possibly quit after one game? I've played long enough to know there are specific people who I know have a bad connection or at least have one to me. If I make an open room and they join then I gotta be the scumbag and kick them. Or if I set it to "2" because usually those are ok, some players might have a "2" yet still have noticeable lag. If no one is online or trying to play I WILL look for open random rooms and typically try to join only the ones with 3 connections, 2 if I'm really just trying to play. But guess what, you win a few times and they might kick you for no good reason. So again, do I play people who want to play me and I know I connect with good for some guaranteed matches? Or try my luck with randoms just because? Seems like a simple enough decision.

For all you know there's a random with a good conn who is a great player too. Maybe they're not great but willing to learn. But the endless list of private rooms complete bars new players from entering the game. If you know they're going to join, just kick and them and tell them "I'm sorry but your conn isn't good enough" if they get hella mad that's just proof they aren't worth the time. For me, personally, I include just one random slot in the room at least. Then at least we can have a stream of newblood in the room to freshen things up. --- Also, Osuna, I usually pass whenever I beat everyone in the room. I don't mean anything by it lol. I like to encourage everyone to have a shot at fighting everyone else in the room. Edited January 31, 2013 by Ctrlaltwtf

If the connection was good and they didn't kick me after losing immediately or didn't leave my room after losing 1 or 2 matches, I'll usually say GGs and possibly send a friend request. I've even sent messages to people who had private rooms but I had a good connection to to try and get in. People really make it seem too hard to find matches. You have this very forum, you have the PSN ID thread, you have other sites, you have the names of the players hosting those private rooms, you can make your own.
Ctrlaltwtf Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 tk.Hotaru incapable Hakumen is a sad Hakumen. I seem to have difficulty with anything that requires a dash install too.
Star-Demon Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 No one joining open rooms is bullshit. I stream SOMETHING nearly every night with open room, and people will join.
Ctrlaltwtf Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Maybe it's just my general available time on PSN then. By comparison there's always way more people on XBL when I'm usually on (usually late night/early morning USA). Honestly I'm surprised by how many people are on XBL these days. CP hype must've done something. And lol at random-ass Hazama.
