Koopa_Klawz Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 So it didn't fix the Kanji glitch where if you do 214214C/D and then AoA D, the FC won't cause wall bounce?
Mightfo Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 It needed to go. yeah because yukiko was just too strong and the glitch meant so much oh wait (i dont think it shouldn't be gone, but saying it "needed to go" is silly lol)
Nakkiel Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 So it didn't fix the Kanji glitch where if you do 214214C/D and then AoA D, the FC won't cause wall bounce? I'm pretty sure nothing will cause wallbounce, it also affects Narukami's throw, really annoying.
TD Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 yeah because yukiko was just too strong and the glitch meant so much oh wait (i dont think it shouldn't be gone, but saying it "needed to go" is silly lol) think about it like this: if it didnt need to go, it wouldnt have been patched up. l dont think 'it needed to go' is overreacting to the situation, and it doesn't have to imply that yukiko was strong with it, either. the above glitch sounds pretty serious though, pretyy weird that they wouldn't patch that up. also apparently there were some netplay bugs? anyone care to explain?
Ryd' Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 yeah because yukiko was just too strong and the glitch meant so much oh wait (i dont think it shouldn't be gone, but saying it "needed to go" is silly lol) I'm not being biased or anything; I main Yukiko, so I'm aware of the characters' strengths and shortcomings. It needed to go because it wasn't working the way Fire Break was intended. If it was supposed to provide the unblockable status to consecutive uses of a move on a single cooldown, it would've worked that way with everything. As it is, Yukiko can already get back-to-back Fire Break unblockables legitimately; it takes a little more work, but it's about as rewarding and uses less meter.
shtkn Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 i'm willing to bet that they're just fixing console only bugs. if the bug exists in arcade, they will keep it.
Henaki Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Yeah I just find it perplexing that they would label the patch as anything other than bug fixes.
Elochai Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Did ArcSys say if there'll be another installment or revision?
Hecatom Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 We only know that Atlus has expressed their interest on starting a new FG franchise on the Persona universe, and that P4U is the 1st step on making that happen
Elochai Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Alright, sounds cool. Thanks for the info.

Hecatom Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 When was this stated? o.o Not to undermine you but I never recalled this ever being brought up.
YukiBlue Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Game still not out in Europe. All signs pointing to 2013. Games dead before it even gets here. Hype is now in the -'s.
Skye Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 I think he means that it will be by the time it hits EU shelves.
Agni Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 You know, it's somewhat worrying that FGs only last like 2 years nowadays. Just seems so...short.
YukiBlue Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 The game's not dead. I said in Europe. I convinced a lot of people to give this game a chance, but they just spent that £ on TTT2 and other games. Nobody really cares anymore since we don't even have a release date yet. If anything we can hope it gets some Christmas sales.
Hecatom Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 You know, it's somewhat worrying that FGs only last like 2 years nowadays. Just seems so...short. One one hand, yes it seems that game last less now, but that is more the fault of the players for not keeping them alive, by supporting the game that in theory they like/love A game lives as long as there are people willing to play it, that is why games like ST have been around for many years. On the other, there isn't a problem if we can get options that are similar and more importantly, are good. Plus game companies don't benefit from the players playing the same game for long times, they benefit from the players buying their new games, and hopefully attracting more people to them. That is why making new games can help to bring a new player base that were not interested on the previous one, but find something appealing on this new option, this could lead to them getting in on previous games that they passed because they weren't interested at that time or were not aware of. So as long as the scene works to keep the game alive, the influx of new players because of new games could learn and get interested on them Sorry for the long post
Balder Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Nobody really cares anymore since we don't even have a release date yet. If anything we can hope it gets some Christmas sales. And now it's a official "whenever in 2013" release. -_-" Some time ago, I felt like being a bit a more serious with fighting games (as serious as someone who only has online competition can get, anyway) and because I'm absolutely biased towards good ol' 2D, decided to solely invest on Skullgirls and P4A. Lo and behold, EU PS3 SG gets a nasty crash glitch and the patch gets delayed for the most absurd reasons beyond the poor team's fault and Zen United gets the publishing rights to P4A, which is a certified one year minimal wait. Would be funny if it weren't so infuriating. I can still appreciate the irony, of course. Still getting P4A but I'd be lying if I said the hype is still there.
Circuitous Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Or you could not buy it and tell Zen to shove it.
Balder Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Or you could not buy it and tell Zen to shove it. That is something I have been considering lately. Though, I wonder who's more at fault here - ZU for being the most notoriously incompetent publishers or Atlus for trusting the most notoriously incompetent publishers? Part of me is more pissed at Atlus for not only letting ZU publish this knowing full well their history of year long delays but now not having the common PR decency to say a word on the matter. First it's "oh the region lock isn't a problem, you'll get your game on time" and now it seems cat got their tongue. I'm sure ZU have the best of intentions, but you know what they say about those and pavement in Hell. I know the region lock had it's share of reasons behind it but I hope they don't pull this "screw-the-Europeans-because-we-want-to-nickel-n'-dime-the-Japanese" shtick again.
AeternumSomnium Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Still getting P4A but I'd be lying if I said the hype is still there. What's left will still be underwhelmed probably Also you'll still most likely run into the, "Boy I sure wish they had more characters" dillema among others that many are suffering from anyway
