so uh...i got this vlc player thing-a-ma-jiggy and i was under the impression i might be able to save video streams (a-cho, youtube etc...)and such using it....how might a young lad such as myself go about doing that...

Use Flashget, google it. Also, Media Player Classic is the best video player available currently.

Get Mozilla Firefox. Download an extension for it called Video Downloader. Then go to one of does sites like youtube for example and then after a video is completeld buffered go to the bottom right of your window and click on the little box and hit download and you got the video!

There needs to be a GGXX FTP of sorts...the Tekken FTP from ages ago was great for finding almost any recent Tekken match. A destination to search through an archive of vids would be super.
