Has anyone here experimented with Hol Horse since v1.02, his GHA seems to be uncomboable after a cancel due to the enemy dropping too quickly or insufficient height as combos doe not launch high enough. I can't seem to do much more than a 2L>M>H to 235S (normal bullet) after a basic combo into S>236S originally the launch was enough to do another S>236S and then that is how you initiated the infinite. I was experimenting with a few things and the most I could seem to get was around 380-400 using a P cancel and around 120-180 with no meter, his HHA and GHA seem to have become redundant as using the meter for a cancel yields more results.

Wonder if anyone else has found any better Hol Horse combos and ways to connect GHA in a combo.

Fugo's HHA poisons the enemy with the same effect as Stone Ocean poison gimmick

and I can't throw iggy using a regular throw command??

Iggy has a really weird inconsistent hitbox. With Fugos easy beat combo with stand on, the medium hit misses entirely. You can only do the magic series with stand off to hit iggy.

it seems the only way fugo can regen poison balls is by landing hha and gha. hha gives him 3 balls back, gha restores them all. I dont see a command in the list anywhere that lets him do it otherwise. and you can poison yourself if you walk into the cloud that appears when you use one of the follow up commands (i.e. 236+l,m or h to do an ora, and then end with 6 l, m or h to break a ball and cause poison).

You can activate Purple Haze Distortion once you get into resolve mode (your life blinks). qcb + 3 buttons. Its free? from what I can tell, and some of the rush/ora animations change. Also, he seems to do more damage. And it carries over to the next round once activated.

His GHA also gives you Purple Haze Distortion on hit, block or whiff, and the meterless PHD activation also refills your capsules to max.

The timing must be really strict then because whenever I land the 2L,M,H S>236S the bullet only hits once then the opponent falls on the ground and the rest of the shots wiff giving no additional juggle for a GHA.

Also I assume you can't do the LMH>214L>PJ>MH236L(214L)>JM connection anymore and instead have to perform a dash into the opponent and pick them up with a 2L.

Don't see infinites mentioned at all. He said he liked the "broken" stuff, but I don't get how that means the infinites. There were plenty of other broken things lmao.

Brett, did you happen to keep a Google Docs of notes for JoJo's like you did for GG and P4U? Wanted a place with centralized information about the game and that was the first thing I thought of since I knew you had been playing it.

@antiquarian: my notes for jojos are really scattered. i have a google doc for bruno combos that i haven't updated in a while, a youtube video with pucci bnbs, and then i tweeted some good bnbs with a bunch of random characters over the course of the last couple of weeks lol.

so the short answer is i dont really have one, especially if you're talking about centralized. your best bet is to tweet me questions as others have done in the past, seems to work out okay

Cool, thanks a bunch for answering questions in general, I know I've asked a few already in this thread. My copy is supposed to come in today so really excited to start delving into it.

that happens to me sometimes too, i actually think there's a window where you are considered "emperor'd up" when you hit s, and that if you hit 236S too soon you only get the non emporored version which hits once.

i had a character gravity fall out of the bnb when they were brushing against the wall though. right now this is the only game i know of where you'd rather have your opponent midscreen than against a wall haha

Man I really hate the inconsistency, sometimes the hit i get from the 236S vary from 1-4 for no reason what so ever. The ANY>S>S236>2LMH>214H ender followed by a taunt just after you activate your hanged man. The taunt re-stand the opponent allowing hanged man to hit and dash in for a follow-up. Looks more promising to me, will experiment with that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AyDfmkVE33Q but from what I remember you can't use hanged man twice in a combo as the second time doesn't allow a follow up.

yeah corner conditions makes it too easy to drop out of combos, which is weird. but the side stepping and small, circular size of most stages makes it really easy to scoot into a corner without intending to.

Haha nice, that looks really cool! The way the camera works during it too seems cool, like you could explore around the stage in a different perspective kinda.

Surprised to not see this here yet.

It's worth noting one of the captions on the magazine.

"LOOK! Stand and Hamon DUAL WIELDING!" Apart from the over excitability of the quote, we can probably assume that Old Joseph is going to be a mix of Hamon (like the Pt I and Pt II heroes) with some kind of Stand ability.

I read that Namco will be featuring All Star Battle at TGS along with their other games, wouldn't be surprised if they premiered a new PV to showcase them, and maybe even show off Annasui, Vanilla Ice and Baoh too.

Meh, I bought the game twice and don't regret it one bit: there is little I need translated in this game, and the playerbase is already decent.
