Vulcan422 Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Looks like I'll be pre-ordering from Club Namco then. SHIA HATO ATTAKKU.
NeoStrayCat Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Yeah, would have been nice if both retailers just give you both DLC's, but nope, oh well, still (probably) getting it though, dunno by which retailer before then (or just on PSN if I feel like it).
Ichipoo Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Is it wrong of me to think that the more I play and watch videos of this game, the more I feel that some of the mechanics that this game have is what P4U should've gotten in the first place like Stand Rush and the fact that you get different normals for both Stand Off and On, especially Stand Rush. The only characters that somewhat capture the "feel" of what I wanted P4U to be like was Narukami and Chie where they work in conjunction with their Personas in pressure. To an extent, this also includes Shadow Labrys as it feels like you're controlling two characters at times as well. That's just me though. Also if you're interested in watching high level videos of this game, typing in "Jojo" (In Katakana) and/or "ASB" in niconico will yield you some results, and there's still people uploading netplay videos as well! http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm22906393
MotokoChill Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 ^ I know how you feel. Adding a second set of normals to a character really does open up a certain variety of options. Yeah, Narukami and Chie's combos that have that applicable repetition with their persona attacks are awesome. But P4U works nicely as it is, still. That Giorno in the video is pretty good ^^
SoWL Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Man, some of the translations are pretty damn weird so far. http://i.imgur.com/qTZ4HOc.png
Vulcan422 Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Man, some of the translations are pretty damn weird so far. http://i.imgur.com/qTZ4HOc.png  Please tell me this isn't a joke.  Also please tell me this atrocity won't be in the US version.
NeoStrayCat Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Please tell me this isn't a joke.  Also please tell me this atrocity won't be in the US version. I woudn't be joking to think the name changes would already be inserted in the overseas release. G-F and Gaf already has their own topics that even mention what character/stand/etc. got hit by a name change (that, or similar sounding name worded differently). Oh, and the kicker was on a tweet concerning the name changes. http://bit.ly/1g3wvqi  Simply, they won't answer. Because Localization team and Araki himself.
Planche Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 There was a Jojo ASB exhibition in London recently where all this new info about the localisation came from. They streamed it on twitch and also uploaded the matches to their Youtube channel: Â
SoWL Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 1. He's a man. 2. He controls zippers. Â I see no problem with this translation at all
NeoStrayCat Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 1. He's a man. 2. He controls zippers. Â I see no problem with this translation at all Umm, I thought I remember somewhere in a different forum... Sticky Fingers = Zipper Man ? Â But yeah, Zipper Man makes the most sense out of it, lol. XD
Ichipoo Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 I don't mind the name change, I'd endure this than not get the game at all. It just made me laugh out loud the moment I saw it
SolxBaiken Posted March 26, 2014 Author Posted March 26, 2014 Looks like Europe/Australia is getting a collector's edition [wtf, how come Europe gets all the cool stuff lately? ; -; ] Â However...I can't help but notice the lack of the OST...[which is why I really, really want...]
NeoStrayCat Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Yeah, kinda dull the US release won't get the Gold Exp...no wait, "Golden Wind"...cause not only there's no OST displayed, and not even the Gold Placard of Giorno, just only the Statue I guess, just more shiny though. >_>
Heven Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Looks like Europe/Australia is getting a collector's edition [wtf, how come Europe gets all the cool stuff lately? ; -; ]  However...I can't help but notice the lack of the OST...[which is why I really, really want...] http://www.gamesaid.org/namco-creates-jojos-bizarre-adventure-all-star-battle-exquisite-edition-for-gamesaid/  There is only one item which will be sold via auction here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jojos-Bizarre-Adventure-All-Star-Battle-PS3-Exquisite-Edition-/310910401330? The auction has already started. All proceeds go to charity. Â
Planche Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Looks like the NA PSN store will be getting an ASB demo this Tuesday: Â http://www.psnstores.com/2014/04/playstation-store-sneak-peek-april-8th-2014/
Vulcan422 Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 So does this demo have those loltastic localizations from the EU version?
TekkamanArk Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I've heard that the US demo fixes some of the frame rate drop from EX Bubbles from Caesar.
NeoStrayCat Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 So does this demo have those loltastic localizations from the EU version? I dunno, more or less, already tried it out, and don't see nothing from that yet, since you can only play as Jotaro, Ceasar, and PB Dio. And CPU only Gyro, Whamu, and Avdol. Guess we'll wait for the full game to see how loltastic the locailzation would be overseas. At least the you can import your demo save to the full version to get a nice 100K gold at start, or something like that.
SoWL Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Money is never an issue in ASB, though. If anything, I'd like them to let me buy things in bulk rather than confirming every single purchase and listening to Wang Chung's cackle. That's especially fun when you get to the voices section
HoudiniJr100 Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Played the demo, I honestly got a hang of Dio, and I really love playing as Jotaro....the only AI I hate was the avdol AI. Gyro was just plain, and wammu was hilariously close for his fight against Caesar. Hey good news is there's special win quotes for everyone.
Vulcan422 Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Finally decided to play the demo. Â Holy shit, the 30 FPS framerate is definitely going to take some getting used to. It feels like I'm playing in constant 2-bar lag.
TAI-X Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Finally decided to play the demo. Â Holy shit, the 30 FPS framerate is definitely going to take some getting used to. It feels like I'm playing in constant 2-bar lag. This was my first reaction. A framerate like this is absolutely unacceptable in a fighting game played offline. It puts it on the same level as Castlevania Judgment. Not to mention that I completely devastated the CPU on Very Hard with my cheesy, button-mashy combos that I was pulling off almost right away. The constant cinematic cut-ins got aggravating after ten minutes. Â This is a neutered dog of a game compared to Capcom's sublime take on the JoJo franchise, and I can safely ignore it from now on with no regrets.
SoWL Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Eh, it doesn't take too long to get used to 30 fps, certainly not long enough to drop the game just because of that. And last time I checked, beating CPUs was never something to brag about, especially when the game has mechanics that are aimed specifically at beginners. The cinematics were my main problem initially, but since the longest ones require 2 bars of meter, it kinda becomes a non-issue in the long run. Even the taunts are usually customized to be as short as possible, both to keep the fights more fluid and to implement them into combos. At least this game doesn't have Petshop
