Are you really bragging about being able to beat the CPU and using it as evidence that the game is bad?

I stopped taking his/her comment seriously when I read "Not to mention that I completely devastated the CPU"

"Bragging?" What would it prove that I beat shitty AI, other than that the game sucks?

I shouldn't be able to completely walk all over the opposition right away after cranking the difficulty up to max in ANY game. It should at least be on par with Blazblue's Score Attack. Of course, ASB's problems don't end there.

Underneath all the polish and fanservice, ASB is hardly any better than the endless procession of sub-mediocre, disposable DBZ and Naruto fighters. It's a pale shadow of Capcom's Stardust Crusaders game (which, may I add, was largely made by the same team as the SFIII series). No matter how many times they put out patches, CyberConnect2 can't escape their lack of talent and experience with real fighting games. This was obvious long before they staged that absurd AI tournament for ASB.

Also, 30 FPS is a dealbreaker for any fighter, especially when it can't even stop the framerate from dropping significantly further during elaborate animations.

Quality of the AI and quality of the game are hardly ever related. If you have ever played a half-decent fighting game, it shouldn't be too hard to beat the AI even in BB, especially when the game has auto-combos that you don't have to learn. If you have any problems with the game's system beyond frame drops, just state them. As long as you don't, you just sound like you never really wanted to give the game a chance.

You have to give credit where credit is due. Sure, CC2's fighting games aren't known for their quality when it comes to mechanics and overall feel, in fact, the opposite of that thanks to the Storm series, but at the very least, I can see that they tried in this game, and hell, they even bothered to release patches to improve the game unlike their Storm games.

I picked this up thinking it would be a little distraction to dick around with while waiting for UNIEL. Turns out its actually really good compared to the last time I tried it when it was heinously broken!

Looking forward to seeing some of you dudes online when the issue is fixed! I'll be representing my boy Caesar Zeppeli. Bubble lens oki for days!

DIO:

- can't throw knives when in S.On

- there a little delay between 214L and SJ making it harder/rare to land his known wall bnb

Wheelchair DIO confirmed. :(

Forget about DIO, they managed to nerf Pucci for pretty much no reason :vbang:

Online seems to be working now from what I've seen others reporting.

Same with Pre-Order DLC codes and Campaign stuff working as well.

From what I've read, it's the same netcode as the JP version, so expect to get generally good connections with other EU players and potentially much worse playing outside of that. You at least now have the option to filter by either the same region or all regions, and there's now a small label besides a player's name indicating what region they're from (NA/EU/ASIA).

Finally got my copy, been messing around with DIO and the jump cancel nerf is not as bad as I thought, it just forces your execution to be more on point than before. However, his [214L > JC > jH > j236X > SR > jL > Son > 5L > 5M > 2L]x2 advanced BnB is inconsistent and may not even be worth it this time. Gonna grind it out some more though. Also, losing the ability to throw knives in Stand On mode somewhat hurts his neutral, there was honestly no need for that and most likely the reason why they got rid of it was so DIO can't perform that really situational knife loop that he had. :v:

Also anybody from SoCal want to play?

I play this game pretty frequently. I'd be up for some matches anytime. Fyi, i'm on the east coast of USA.

I just got my copy. Cant wait to get started on it. My question is, does it take very long to unlock all the characters?

Well, not long, though as long as you can get it done as quickly as you can, but playing story all the way in 1 non-stop run should take about est. 2-4 hours, since you can also use item buffs like recharching super gauge and fighting your opponent at 1/2 health, of course though, these cost in-game gold, so yeah, take your time.

I'm from SoCal, I played with someone in the PNW a while back and it was decent. Feel free to add me, I assume your connection is wired?

I wonder if a tier-list ever came up for this game? They are done patching it pretty much, right?
