Starlight777 Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Less go Zenia 'Bullet' Valov In other news, Relius' new moves are looking to be hella useful. Yeah, glad they're giving him moves that help him hold his own without Ignis.
Hecatom Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 (edited) lol they lied about having new neutral poses. Unless if that doesn't mean what I think it means. i think that it was a translation mistake So I'm hearing we have XFC's in BlazBlue now? Could this mean (more) people are going to play the game? It's not really X-Factor. More like a "comeback factor." Close enough though. sounds more like a mixture of the heat of melty blood and the dark force of darkstalkers to me tbh. They MUST remove that "comeback" aspect to Overdrives. Comeback mechanics suck. many games have comeback mechanics, done right they add new layers of depth Eh. That ship sailed with SF4. its way older than what you think In Melty Blood, Blood Heat freezes the timer and regens life :o Also we don't know the specifics on the duration increase, also don't you have to hold onto your Burst and spend it? A one track mind trying to hold on for X more seconds of this mode might lose matches because of that. Besides this is a loktest (with a survey even!) so we don't know how much it will be altered, they probably just threw in all the ideas brought up at the board meeting, and seeing which ones stick. this so far we don't know what would stay, and what not, or how this mechanics would behave in the future Well, in the event that P1 does have a life lead over P2, the timer is in its last 10 secs, and P2 still has Overdrive, he can turn the tide with Overdrive because he can prolong the time he can pressure and damage P1 before the timer runs out. Like, it has been reported that Overdrive with less than 20% health lasts 15 secs. That's 15 secs + the amount of time left in the timer where he has a chance to make a comeback, all thanks to Overdrive. As it is right now, it's not good. melty blood seems to be doing fine despite having something that behaves in some ways similar to what you are describing If it doesn't come out in Japan on 360 it's not coming out anywhere on 360. lol Japan needs to stop thinking it's arcade scene is the epicentre for FG's. They need to realise there is a global market for these games now. A little more love and attention for the west would do wonders tbh. It just seems like were 2nd class gamers in comparison. while true, you have to remember that the primary source of revenue for asw is on the arcade market it sucks for us, but for them releasing earlier probably wouldn't justify the loses on the arcade market Edited August 8, 2012 by Hecatom
Zeron_X25 Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 I don't know if you noticed, but that Spark Bolt had a trajectory that arced a bit downwards, similar to Plat when she discard items like the bat, pan, hammer (don't know the name of the special). PS. It's hard to catch a good Tao with any character, not just Tager. Sure it might be hard but not physically impossible like with Tager.
WolfCrimson Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 (edited) Sure it might be hard but not physically impossible like with Tager. Yeah, but now the new tools he got seem to remedy that. Even if they didn't, what use would 5-15 extra seconds be to Tager vs Tao if he won't be able to catch her anyways? Edited August 8, 2012 by WolfCrimson
Zeron_X25 Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Yeah, but now the new tools he got seem to remedy that. Even if they didn't, what use would 5-15 extra seconds be to Tager vs Tao if he won't be able to catch her anyways? He gets super powers too doesn't he?
Hecatom Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 he force magnetism on the opponent, but unleast they fix the way that the collider works with tao, valk, and litchi i dont see this helping much on these matchups i would preffer if they give us more mobility with it tbh
WolfCrimson Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 (edited) He gets super powers too doesn't he? Well, according to BBCP changes thread Tager`s OD forces magnetism on the opponent, in addition to his damage boost. Edit: I dunno, feels lackluster. If anything, it'd be his new tools that'd get the job done, not his OD. Edited August 8, 2012 by WolfCrimson

Even if they didn't, what use would 5-15 extra seconds be to Tager vs Tao if he won't be able to catch her anyways? Tager overdrive, Voltic Field, Forces magnetism on opponent. i'm not Tao vs tager especialist, but tager magnetism for 15 sec. is perty strong...
Wonderland Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Timing out Lambda with Hakumen is my favorite. What's a Lambda?
Zeron_X25 Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Well, according to BBCP changes thread Tager`s OD forces magnetism on the opponent. Well there you go. That in itself turns around the match. The problem with that matchup is that you can't force Tao to block a spark bolt and you can't hit her with it so you can never magnetise her.
WolfCrimson Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 (edited) he force magnetism on the opponent, but unleast they fix the way that the collider works with tao, valk, and litchi i dont see this helping much on these matchups i would preffer if they give us more mobility with it tbh His OD would be better if it forces magnetism AND constantly pulled them towards Tager when the opponent is not being comboed. Zeron_X25 Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 His OD would be better if it forces magnetism AND constantly pulled them towards Tager when not being comboed. That would make it obvious I guess. Better for them not to know how much they're being pulled in. That's how you hit people with 5D in the older BBs.
mAc Chaos Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Even if Tao is magnetized she can move around and not get sucked in by AC and stuff.
Zeron_X25 Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Even if Tao is magnetized she can move around and not get sucked in by AC and stuff. I think they changed the magnetism mechanics. I'm not sure but it felt like it. AC certainly pulls differently.
STenSatsu Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Wanted to say thank you to all the translators and to Isuna for the videos. Just make sure to put not getting yourself in trouble first lol! Azrael's drive still seems to be a mystery even with the footage. All he does is stand there in a Hanma Yuujiro stance that only seems to hit up close. Didn't see any sort of meter or any of those mark things during the matches with him. Amane seems cool. Love that he has 2 different divine blade style jumps that you can do normals out of. Wonder how many people are going to die because they hit a C button up close lol. Really glad Bullet is so much different than Makoto. Was a concern to me.
SoWL Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Azrael's Raoh-like aura, Growler Field (214B), is not a Drive, it's just a shield-like attack that blocks projectiles and hits the enemy if they get too close to him. You could see his Drive in the Valk match, it's an attack that takes a while to come out, but hits for some good damage and leaves a circle-like mark on the opponent. He then uses a certain special move to blow the opponent very high upwards, like a GG Dust attack.
Nora Kisaragi Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 If it doesn't come out in Japan on 360 it's not coming out anywhere on 360. They would have to be pretty stupid to not release it on 360 in the West. The 360 has a devoted BB fanbase in both the west and japan and you can be sure as hell they wouldn't want to migrate to PS3. I'm a 360 BlazBlue player and I have BB on PS3 but I suck at it because the controls feel so different with the different controllers. I just can't get used to it. 6246 Inputs and 360/720s for example are much easier for me to do on a 360 pad versus a ps3 pad. Anyway, not worth discussing as there is no way this is not getting a 360 release in the West.
-Seo Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 (edited) I'm not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but it seems the burst/overdrive system recharges (like GG/P4U bursts). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjKK1rhHFlM&list=HL1344455065&feature=mh_lolz (Ragna uses BK at 2:45 , his Burst/OD is then fully recharged at 3:57). Makes me think that using Overdrive at low health when it lasts longer, may have a longer recharge time than using it at higher health, though that's speculation on my part. TripleSun Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Interesting, I like how Amane's cloth kind of pulls the enemy closer and all.
Darlos9D Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Interesting, I like how Amane's cloth kind of pulls the enemy closer and all. He's sounding pretty Axl-like. Which means I might actually like him. Haz and Lambda just didn't do it for me. Plus I get to be FAAAAAAABULOOOOOOOOOOOUS
dualseeker Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 I'm not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but it seems the burst/overdrive system recharges (like GG/P4U bursts). I thought it would be like that. I'm excited to see how it would turn out!
TripleSun Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Amane is getting his mini-clique going on here. Who's fabulous enough to be hype for a Goddess man?
dualseeker Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Amane is getting his mini-clique going on here. Who's fabulous enough to be hype for a Goddess man? And it is said that His Fabulousness will gain many followers...
SoWL Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 I'm trying to make sense of Bullet's Drive, so here's how I understand it so far. If something sounds wrong to you, you're welcome to point it out. All of Bullet's Drive normals can be charged; while they are being charged, an orange ring circles around her, shrinking or growing towards the enemy. If you release the button when the ring is exactly on the enemy, Bullet quickly rushes to them and performs the attack. If the enemy is out of the ring, releasing the button cancels the move. After the hit lands, Bullet enters the Heat-Up state; the Drive's ring becomes larger in this state, which means that she can cover more space with her moves. If it does work that way, then I really like it as a grappler character mechanic. Unlike Tager, whose Drive brings the enemy closer, Bullet's Drive simply gets her into the enemy's face while also making it harder to get away from her. I guess asking for the invulnerable dash before landing the Drive is too much to ask for. I'm also not sure whether the hit lands if the enemy is inside the ring.
STenSatsu Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Relius's new special that pulls in looks like a fucking godsend for his non-ignis game. Loving Tsubaki's new projectile too.
