YukiBlue Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Maybe they just cleaned them up? Made them smoother / redrew more intricate aspects?
mAc Chaos Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 I'm not quite sure what to make of Haku-men yet. I didn't see Agito like I wanted to...but at least he can Rapid Cancel 6B. He could always rapid cancel 6B. Not that there was a point to it.
MetalMaelstrom Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 So I'm hearing we have XFC's in BlazBlue now? Could this mean (more) people are going to play the game?
mAc Chaos Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 So I'm hearing we have XFC's in BlazBlue now? Could this mean (more) people are going to play the game? It's not really X-Factor. More like a "comeback factor." Close enough though.
Hellknight10 Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 goddamn it am I the only that sees a beer belly on Noel's character select art? I swear the way they colored it bothers me to all hell Dx
WolfCrimson Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 It's not really X-Factor. More like a "comeback factor." Close enough though. They MUST remove that "comeback" aspect to Overdrives. Comeback mechanics suck.
Zeron_X25 Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 He could always rapid cancel 6B. Not that there was a point to it. Well you could get a full combo off it.
SoWL Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 You know, Overdrive still doesn't remind me of X-Factor at all. If anything, it reminds me of Extend Force from AH. Since my friend pointed out the similarities to me, I just can't get them out of my head, especially now that there are Overdrive Cancels.
-Seo Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 They MUST remove that "comeback" aspect to Overdrives. Comeback mechanics suck. We don't have any kind of info on what the damage boost is even like yet. Give it a chance, it's the first loketest after all.
WolfCrimson Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 We don't have any kind of info on what the damage boost is even like yet. Give it a chance, it's the first loketest after all. It's not the damage boost that bother me, it's the fact that the duration increases the less health you have. AND that it freezes the timer. That's dumb.
Chaoschao222 Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Honestly the timer thing matters least to me about it all, I mean... there's not a whole lot of time ups in BB anyways, and more characters don't really rely on it....
SolxBaiken Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 It's not the damage boost that bother me, it's the fact that the duration increases the less health you have. AND that it freezes the timer. That's dumb. In Melty Blood, Blood Heat freezes the timer and regens life :o Also we don't know the specifics on the duration increase, also don't you have to hold onto your Burst and spend it? A one track mind trying to hold on for X more seconds of this mode might lose matches because of that. Besides this is a loktest (with a survey even!) so we don't know how much it will be altered, they probably just threw in all the ideas brought up at the board meeting, and seeing which ones stick.
WolfCrimson Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Honestly the timer thing matters least to me about it all, I mean... there's not a whole lot of time ups in BB anyways, and more characters don't really rely on it.... Well, in the event that P1 does have a life lead over P2, the timer is in its last 10 secs, and P2 still has Overdrive, he can turn the tide with Overdrive because he can prolong the time he can pressure and damage P1 before the timer runs out. Like, it has been reported that Overdrive with less than 20% health lasts 15 secs. That's 15 secs + the amount of time left in the timer where he has a chance to make a comeback, all thanks to Overdrive. As it is right now, it's not good.
Starlight777 Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 I'm glad Relius has another ranged move besides 214A and that new switchblade move looks weird. Platinum looks faster for some odd reason, then again everyone does. Amane's C attacks look like they are not gonna see much use against rushdown characters.
mAc Chaos Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Well, in the event that P1 does have a life lead over P2, the timer is in its last 10 secs, and P2 still has Overdrive, he can turn the tide with Overdrive because he can prolong the time he can pressure and damage P1 before the timer runs out. Guess that means they want people to go for the kill and not time out.

Then maybe P1 should've used their overdrive to get a damage boost, which would either kill P2, or force them to use their burst which in turn gets rid of their overdrive.
toanenadiz Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Honestly the timer thing matters least to me about it all, I mean... there's not a whole lot of time ups in BB anyways, and more characters don't really rely on it.... I aim for time-outs all the time. Especially against Hakumen and Tager.

Chazmobile Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 And she takes her jacket off in her victory pose! Less go Zenia 'Bullet' Valov In other news, Relius' new moves are looking to be hella useful.
SoWL Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 I'm really damn annoyed that both those Amane vids use lots of C moves, even though they whiff up close. He has his Drive to fight in that range, but the first time they used Drive is right before Carl kills him in the last round. Come on, couldn't they figure him out during the first "Amane is everywhere" day?
WolfCrimson Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Seems like a god-send to Tager players. As if the extra sparkbolt trajectory and Air driver weren't.
Zeron_X25 Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 As if the extra sparkbolt trajectory and Air driver weren't. They're not. Try to spark bolt a Tao and see what happens. The angle hardly makes a difference.
WolfCrimson Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 They're not. Try to spark bolt a Tao and see what happens. The angle hardly makes a difference. I don't know if you noticed, but that Spark Bolt had a trajectory that arced a bit downwards, similar to Plat when she discard items like the bat, pan, hammer (don't know the name of the special). PS. It's hard to catch a good Tao with any character, not just Tager.
