Goldchampion200 Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Oh those poor people who hate spiders. *Raises hand*
Chaoschao222 Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 I thought it was 8 in your lifetime... But man, using phobias against your opponent would be some top tier mindgames.
TPPR10 Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Due of the arcade modes screenshots, I am guessing that the battles go like they do in the past (3 random, 1 forced, 3 random, 2 forced and the final boss). Also, did some one say that each character will have their own final boss in their arcade modes or am I not remembering it right?

BladeOfJustice7 Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 So from what I've been told, this is more or less a completely new game? I also heard that the game is much faster now, is this true?
Kyosuke Kagami Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Dudes, I have a basic question: Does Chrono Phantasma still retain the "Original + Stylish" control layout shit? Or they added something else? There have been some stupid rumors on twitter, about BBCP getting a "brand new control scheme for newbie players that allow them to do complicated combos with just 1 button" lmao. I'm sure that's just the Stylish Mode.
Kyosuke Kagami Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Well, yeah, but so far I haven't read anything related to a Persona-like control scheme.

Starlight777 Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 It could be like Persona maybe. That's actually the best idea for beginner mode I've heard. Sadly it won't happen.
heavymetalmixer Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 I actually would prefer that, if there's just an auto-combo then people will have to actually learn the game. That and P4A's auto-combos are actually sometimes useful for the Burst they give back. They can even be used within combos.
Alpha to Omega Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 The Ragna cosplayer in this video is using Stylish Mode: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwstX_ShGto

TPPR10 Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 What? Nonono. I remember that interview, Mori said that to clarify that the unannounced boss character was not the "Last Boss" because each character has their own last boss in CP's "Arcade Version Story Mode" (AKA Arcade Mode, lol) Ah, so I remembered right! I did knew there was a yet released boss character but I was thinking that it will be like Unlimited Mu/Ragna
Tokkan Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 (edited) Ah, so I remembered right! I'm betting the unannounced boss character is Nu, but a completely different take on Nu. New playstyle, new design, new sprites. Nu's old playstyle would be relegated to Lambda when Lambda and Mu become this game's Kliff and Justice. Edited October 4, 2012 by Tokkan

If the unknown boss turns out anything like that I'll be one happy camper.
Tsuki Garyuu Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 But man, using phobias against your opponent would be some top tier mindgames. Fear has its positives though. I hate spiders, which makes killing them all the more sweeter. *focuses fury on Arakune*
LegendaryRath Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 I remember hearing that they're trying to keep combos shorter in this installment. I wouldn't mind that too much, but if that's the case, we'll probably have to learn new combo structure for most characters. This could have the potential to completely scramble up tier lists, which would be pretty cool. If it seems like I have no clue what I'm talking about, it's probably because I don't. So excuse that....
Kyosuke Kagami Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 Tager would benefit from that, imo His combos have never been that long lol, so I imagine he'll now be adhoc with the rest of the cast. That's if he still retains the same combo potential from Extend, of course
Starlight777 Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 So which of the new characters do you expect to see a fair amount of on netplay when everyone eventually get this game? I'm expecting Bullet to pop up quite a bit here and there, while Azrael starts out popular and fades into obscurity. Amane will most likely be rare all the way through.
