Skye Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Kagura is confirmed to be unlocked at the end. I really have no intention on playing Kagura, but I'd like to have all the characters for other's sake. I did the same thing for Mu-12 in CS1. Going through the story is gonna be a pain, I'll just hope for an unlock code.

I was completely oblivious how passionate you guys were on the story aspects of the game and in keeping the original voice cast. Things I'm admittedly not that into... Here's the thing though, I had a scheduled phone interview with a guy (Michael) working on CP over at Aksys. I'll call him Monday to get to the bottom of who exactly is doing the localization for the game. Once I get some answers I'll be sure to forward it to you guys so you can all collectively spam the shit out of their company's inbox and get your voices heard. BlackYakuzu94 Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 The story of BB is probably almost as large a selling point as the game itself, that and it has one of the best dubs for a fighting game I've heard. I'm sure most of us will get over it, but it'd still be a huge loss.

I will instantly switch that game to Japanese voices the moment I hear he's voicing a character (i've played the other games in English, but I would have to make the exception for BBCP).

Cool your jets. JYB being in yet another video game role is not the end of the world, no matter how much you may hate on him for sounding the same in nearly every damn role he's ever played. Same goes for Yuri Lowenthal.

After much soul searching I kind of feel this way now, I guess in the end it doesn't matter so long as the translation is done well.

Didn't say it was the end of the world, or that I would avoid the game because of it, just that I would use the option to have the voices in Japanese as opposed to listening to JYB as anyone. On that matter though, I really don't have a voice actor i'd specifically want either, beyond simply wanting the original voice cast back simply because i'm used to those voices. If I were going to avoid the game for any reason, it would be that ASW again failed to add Jubei as a playable character, and with no DLC, i'd either need to wait for BBCPEX or the final game in the series (which wouldn't even make sense for him to be playable in as this game is the end of the Six Heroes story arc), and yet i'm still excited as can be to get my hands on the game, to the point that i'm just considering importing it. Lowenthall is great and all, but no one can capture the levels of fab that O'Brien can deliver. I expect puns.

I expect puns. well my friend says he wants sam riegal, and we knew his role was teddie. :P that aside, I admit both of them make for a good role as amane, but I see yuri in his shoes in my personal opinion.

I recall seeing guy play DW and there being this SUPER fabulous guy that would fit perfectly.

In all honesty, that voice matches Amane's personality perfectly. It fits better than Ichigo... Yu ...Itsuki... I mean Johnny Yong Bosch's voice would at the very least.

Luminos564 Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 I dunno why, but if I had my choice, I'd pick either Steven Jay Blum or Quinton Flynn as Amane. Then again, I was fine with Johnny Yong Bosch voicing (based off that unfounded wiki mention) him as well since I listened to his take on Lelouch (Code Geass) and Izaya (Durarara). The voice might not have been all that different, but if the man can act like a campy/fabulous narcissist, then I think it'll be fine. I say this partially because I think JYB is a good VA but also because I think I'd like to have Liam O'Brien voicing Kagura instead XD.
