Cool, but it's not surprising at all, I wonder if Fumo entered, not been many vids of him. EDIT: According to the arc revo site i think it says Souji has qualified. Skye Posted March 28, 2013 Author Posted March 28, 2013 2c looks semi-safe, probably punishable only with certain a attacks. I still think that CP Arakune is one of the strongest versions of him. That strong pre-curse game does so much after that first curse ends. It's like a recurse vortex.
Mr.Biscuits Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 CP kune is hot garbage in the grand scheme of things. He gets bodied by all the top tiers plus the usual zoners. I don't see him having many favorable matchups. I'll try and turn him into my sub and I'll try to learn the game for real. Lmao.

Rachel, mu and v-13 will always be bad matchups. The only things I like are the spider and being able to combo off ground throw meterless. Everything else is whatever.

KM Riku Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 It's worth noting that this setup is not guaranted. There was a vid in nico explaning this, all you have to do to avoid it is to not tech (as you can see in the video, the hit count drops to zero after some hits of FoG + j.B)

I asked him did he have access to more info, but he said no. Still got hopes though. Kurushii will be getting it very soon and our info drought will be over.

However, when I showed this vid to our translator to joke how Arakune is broken (a popular gag here), he told me that the comments said that this setup was not guaranted and you could not tech to avoid it, maybe that's why the video was removed. edit: yup, he deleted it for sure. Everything else is whatever. being able to combo grab midscreen meterless is way scarier than jump cancellable j.b if anything, arakune is more braindead than before. 5a 2a 5a 2a grab....5a 5a grab... a-bug coming from behind more than makes up for the reduced curse gauge, and 2c is way safer than before. Biscuits is just sad that i perfect matched him at winter brawl

I can say that aside from universal frame data changes and obvious changes, he's pretty much the same. Nothing is faster or slower or any safer on block. The new combo system is really the cause of most of the cool stuff we've seen.
