Someone said that because Shooting Star's wallbound time is quite long, you should be able to start corner combos from farther away, which leads to Makoto having more damage output overall.

No useful aside from that in those posts, StarGazer.

I, too, am pretty disappointed with CP Makoto. EX Makoto is really basic and gets incredibly boring after a while. The last thing I was looking forward to is more of the same. My least favorite changes by far are removing 5B's jc on block and the double jump after asteroid vision B/C. She already has issues with her inherent risk of committing to offense since everything is unsafe... that's why her high level play is based around whiff punishing. So why are the making it even MORE risky by removing her only two safe moves? If it's because they want her high level play to be based on boring whiff footsies then why are the nerfing her run speed? Does ArcSys think her EX version was in a good place? That would explain why they're toning most people down. But still, she's sooo boring to me now :/

I dunno. Maybe it's the faster speed of the game but I don't think Makoto's as bad as I originally thought or as boring as people make her to be. Don't get me wrong, it's still pretty bad but there's a small glimmer of hope that there might be some fun left after all.

Also, that new Alexandrite remix is hella metal.

Guys, forget about the tier for a second and look at how she plays, its like she is the exact same Extend Makoto with even less options. Sigh... i really hope that they have a reason to nerf our int dashing speed like that or bring it back to normal in the final version of the game like what they did in EX.

If anything then we do look stronger than EX with everyone being tuned down, but Ragna will still be problematic for our popularity :/

He is easier, stronger, more fun, and looks like he have more potential than us now?!?! (lol?) I highly suspect a big amount of players picking Ragna over Makoto again just like EX.

Maybe, it felt like that when i watched the videos but i can't really judge without testing the hitboxes myself. 5B picking up Valkenhayn i hope it means that they buffed the lower part of it so we can normally otg Jin and Valk, also beat a lot of low profile moves and maybe use it to beat both Noel 2D 4D drives.

New Moves are:

Cosmic Ray (214A~D): a lungging attack like Hells Fang, disadvantageous on block but it have a strong pushback to keep you safe.

Lander Blow (214A~C~D): Slow Start up (can be beaten by mashing) but it's plus on block, a pressure reset move in other words.

Crush Trigger (A+B): Universal, takes 25% heat, breaks guard if not blocked by barrier.

Shooting star input changed to 236D, you can also do it now without going into AV.

Moves description is based on JBBS posts, don't quote me on anything.

Bad part is that they say these new moves are near useless lol.

I think it is still pretty soon to tell she's gonna sucks in CP, there's still time to make changes and people didn't try everything. Also, from the videos I recall that the makoto player connected the crush trigger in the corner combo, tried to connect lander blow a few times (without success), and tested the air-grab, which is useful again. I agree with the part that she's still similar to her EX version, but i don't think she will be at the bottom this time. I'm ok with that, I don't want her to be top tier again (CS1&2). My only worry right now is that her OD doesn't seem more useful than the burst.

Too early to call OD useless, if Meteor Dive Groundbounce can combo into 2C then we can do: Hit > OD > DP > 2C > 214BD > Stuff. In corner it might make Cosmic Ray or Lander Blow comboable which enhance our Damage output. tl;dr: OD still have unknown potential.

That's going to be pretty damn nice if that's true. She could use another quick fatal counter move.

I'll start updating the first post once the game is out on Nov 21st since what will be posted on jBBS will be legitimate and definite information that won't be subject of change until a later revision of the game if any (there will be more).

生ODなら持続時間長いんでしょ?

端で5D>5CCジャンプキャンセルからODを生出ししたらコンボ伸びそうな予感

バーストも長時間防止出来て、2Cアローも余裕で入るだろうし

ただODからJDが間に合うかは分からないけど。コロナダイブがバウンドするらしいからJD間に合わないならこっちも試したいな

EXの最大コンみたいに全Dとスターコメット入れたいけどJB>JDが入り辛くなって現状きつそうだけど

今までのコメットが硬直55Fだっけ

PVのコメットは動画30fpsだから単純に倍計算でコマ送り検証してみたけど

発生こそ変わらんものの、発生してから33~35F程度で動き出してるから相当短くなってそうなんだよなあ

でもロケテ触った人らはけっこう口揃えて変わってるって言ってるから良い方向に変わってるといいね

Yeah, I was about to post that, too.

I wouldn't say unlimited because her picture and name aren't altered in any way. But then again...she is in OD and that looks like Planet Crusher, but Tager's health is <35%. So...either the Astral requirement changed, or that's some beefed-up ...Particle Flare 1st hit? Cosmic Ray? Her movelist online doesn't have a new super listed. I have no idea...

And she has 7 heat...so it can't be Astral since removing 100% Heat and <35% HP requirement is terrible.

Edit: It can't be an Astral. Here is the [Google Translated] Astral summary under the system tab on the webpage: "It is absolutely peerless mortal blow away if you hit your opponent with a single blow homely.

She do have a move that looks exactly like that in her Unlimited form, but yeah the name is not flashing... and there are no new move listed aside the ones we know

Just give me the game already. And on a side note my Japan trip has been moved to next summer because of studies and other sad reasons, so I won't be able to enjoy its Nesica version.

And yet I don't feel too great about her palettes so far. 13 and 15 are OK and that's about it.

It seems they removed her CS palette 4 (green clothes + red/orange hair/fur) which I used exclusively, so I am disappoint.
