I think the only move what Relius has which can have a proper tranlation is Nero Angelo (Black Angel)

?

I don't recall that being one of his moves.

Actually, Duo Bios is probably Duo Vaios. Vaios is a Greek name. Βάιος. Also a name for a day in April.

Many of Relius's moves are named after actual names.

Lauger, Haas, Ley, Lanto and Tus are all actual surnames. I think Lafino might be one too. Tedo appears to be a first name used in Georgia (the country, not the American state).

Sorry, I forgot to say this before but thanks for shedding some light on this for me, guys. I only found Lauger was name, but I didn't find anything significant about the name so I dismissed the idea. The way you guys explain it though, it seems to make sense. Also, I didn't know about Amane; I thought his moves were all legit ninja moves o__o

That's the name of one of his Unlimited DDs (the one which he fires the Vol Tedo orb)

Speaking of Unlimited DDs,did you think all of the Unlimited DDs will be usable in CP?

For me,i hope all of it will come back in CP and sorry if this off topics.

If you're asking if normal characters got U. DDs, we already know who did and didn't given that the game is you know, readily available to be played in Japan (Carl got his in OD, Jin also got air Ice Arrows, etc), as far as if console Unlimiteds will still have them, nobody knows, but there's no reason to take them away (same with taking away Unlimiteds in general).

Actually if there are Unlimited characters, they got nerfed. Simply because most overdrives "transform" you in your unlimited form. For example: Nu.

Not really, there's a lot more broke to an Unlimited than what some characters get in OD, not to mention an Unlimited character always has these changes rather than having to use a Burst to temporarily gain them.

edit; I should stop before this gets too off-topic :sweatdrop:

What I meant was that the overdrives will only buff their DDs in this case which is a nerf compared to the normal cast.

Anyway... You're right, we should stop talking about this.

more fighters for dlc...

DLC fighters is bound to happen imo, we've shown that we're willing to buy them. Bonus points if they're actually interesting and will add to the story in the future though. What's the family that Mai from BBRH is from again? If that ends up being canon (or certain parts of it), it seems like the family she belongs to is very strict and focused on creating strong warriors.

I believe she is next heir to the Hazuki Family, though not sure myself is she yet part of it (her last name is Natsume)

Natsume is likely a false name, or possibly the name he had before he was adopted into the Hazuki family--assuming that the Hazuki family does adoptions, if nowhere near the amount that the Kisaragi clan does.

Some stuff on the Duodecim is mentioned in TMML Reloaded. The episode with Jin and Tsubaki in particular. Most of it just relates to the Duodecim in general, or the Kisaragi or Yayoi clans.

Oh god no. Keep that dumbass ecchi manga out of my precious Blazblue canon.

My understanding from the Jin/Tsubaki episode of TMBL Reloaded is that only the Kisaragi clan adopts, and that the other families frown on them for that. Do they mention that other families adopt, too?

I don't think they do. The other families used to inbreed to keep the bloodline pure (like second cousins and stuff) but know they've started mingle around. Yayoi is the only one that still interbreeds in the Duodecim. But yea I'm sure the Kisaragi's are the only ones who adopt

Posted

Tsubaki's family would most likely not accept her stating a finally with Jin. Since the bloodline would be broken. But then again Tsubaki's had many siblings before her, who all died because their bodies were too week from the generations of interbreeding. So maybe he family would welcome the change.

It's not, but I got the sense that some might. Closest thing that suggests it is Jin's "not everyone with a family is directly related," but he could be talking about only the Kisaragi family. He does add that "each family is made up of elites and true nobles," but I'm not quite sure how to parse that. The elites of the entire family? Of particularly talented commoners or lesser nobles adopted into the family? I just threw out adoption as a potential origin for Mai, but it's more likely that Natsume is a false name.

It has happened throughout history, though most adoptees were already minor nobles themselves, somewhat related to the adopting family, and/or unlikely to be in line for inheriting the estate. Mind you, we're dealing with BB here and each family already has their own rules. Some might adopt or patron extremely promising young children, and others might be nearly as strict about breeding and marriage as the Yayoi. Information is scant on the remaining 10 families. We really only know about the Kisaragi, the Yayoi, and a little about the Mutsuki.

@Surfeit: Is it mentioned ingame that the other families are focused on keeping their blood relatively pure? I don't see it anywhere. The Yayoi clan is even more fanatical than that; I thought they only partnered with only exceptional Armagus users, then only within their own clan. Pretty crazy. Dunno why they don't just adopt/marry outsiders with high ars magus scores like Noel or Jin again, but w/e.

Im pretty sure it was mentioned somewhere (probably Tsubaki's story) that the other families used to do it but no longer do. Because of course interbreeding it bad :v: Except the Yayoi
