Dates and Games:

Block A:

  • Persona 4: Arena (PS3 version)
  • Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 (PS3 version)

    Block B:
    • SSF4: Arcade Edition Version 2012 (arcade version)
    • The King of Fighters 13 (PS3 version)
    • Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (PS3 version)


      We will be ALTERNATING weeks for each block of games.
      So, if one week is SSF4:AE / KOF13 / TTT2, the following week will be P4A / UMVC3.

      Block A Ranbat Dates:

      • Sunday, Aug 26th, 2012
      • Sunday, Sept 9th, 2012
      • Sunday, Sept 23rd, 2012
      • Sunday, Oct. 7th, 2012
      • Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012

      Block B Ranbat Dates:

      [*]Monday, Sept 3rd, 2012 (Labor Day, SSF4:AE2012 & KOF13 only)

      [*]Sunday, Sept 16th, 2012 (First event with TTT2 included)

      Double Elimination:

      Past Ranbat Seasons have been Single Elimination until Top 8 followed by Double Elimination for the Top 8. We are going to do away with that format this season, as I think we can finish Double Elimination in a reasonable timespan now.

      Live Stream:

      All events will have select matches streamed live on Arcade UFO's Twitch TV channel, and HD Footage will be made available at a later date on our YouTube Channel.

      Equipment:

      UFO's console setups run on head-to-head arcade cabinets. Joysticks are Sanwa JLF-TP-8Y and buttons are Sanwa OSBF-30. Equipment is maintained regularly, but for any of the console setups (all games besides SSF4:AE 2012) you may optionally bring and use your own PS3-compatible pad or joystick if you are more comfortable with that.

      $2 Entry (to arcade).

      Registration Deadline: 6PM

      Tournament Starts: 6PM

      Persona 4: Arena - Signups at 7:30PM

      PS3 version on Head-to-Head Arcade Cabinets; PS3 pad OK

      $2 Entry (to arcade).

      Registration Deadline: 8PM

      Tournament Starts: 8PM

      SSF4:AE 2012 - Signups at 7:30PM

      Arcade Version of the game, no pad ports

      $2 Entry (to arcade).

      Registration Deadline: 8PM

      Tournament Starts: 8PM

      Rules:

      * Tournament format is 1v1

      * No Seeding

      * Each match in the tournament is a 2/3 game set

      * Double Elimination

      * Within a 2/3 set, you must keep your character/team if you win but may switch if you lose.

      * You can switch Ultras or Assists Types at any time.

      * If you are suspected of cheating, aka intentionally losing/throwing a match to affect point standings, you may be disqualified from Ranbat series prizes at our discretion.

      * Points are awarded as follows: 1st (10 points), 2nd (7 points), 3rd (5 Points), 4th (3 Points), 5th (2 Points), 7th (1 Point)

      Prizes!:

      We are reaching out to potential sponsors for prize support at this time, but expect for the Top 5 overall point holders for each game to be rewarded at the end of the season.

With 7.5 coming to an end, P4 and Marvel are done for season 7! Results updated in a sec. Thanks to everyone who has stopped by and played, or watched the stream! And a special thanks to Arcade UFO for hosting such a great ranbat~
