GreekAngel Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 There is a reason why I do either Raw astral or wakeup astral.
Dreiko Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 I like the teleport-astral the best of all. Relying on the unblockable hit is easy, baiting something like a long range poke or...welll, this: http://youtu.be/IRSvqoFAVkg?t=1m31s and astralling it, it's way more hype.
YukiBlue Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 I Astralled a Lvl 3 Comet Cannon before on reaction. And a spark bolt. Come at me? *Bang bragging thread go*
iw2ma Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 I astraled another Bangs D-nails on reaction before and teleported to him, it was grand finals of a tournament too, last match and round. I also astraled another Bangs astral lol

Dreiko Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 One time I used jD to guard point, tager does magna tech, during the guard pointing animation I buffer astral, it comes out and I teleport behind him, sadly too high for it to hit but I dodged magna tech entirely and it allowed me to punish it. Ah, if only I was a little lower to the ground. But yeah, you can cancel the startup of jD into the AH.

Assassin Cross Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 I tele astral'ed litchi's staff as it was flying once lol
Gemakai Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 the j4c input change sucks... How so? Honestly, what they changed it to just flat out makes sense. Want to aim them down? Do j.2C, otherwise it's a move that continues an air combo. While I've gotten more used to using j.4C, using it in IAD combos is basically just adding difficulty in a combo, JUST to be difficult. The only change I'm scratching my head over is the 5D change. I under it's lost JC, and it's no longer special cancellable, so what? Just use it to get a mix up on someone? Am I correct in understanding that?
YukiBlue Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Pretty much. It's gonna be roulette against characters like Tager and Ragna though.

Am I correct in understanding that? well, i'm already used to doing the iad combos as they are now. to be frank, the change suits lazy people and it will be an annoyance to people who took the time to practice it--eh, practice the iad relaunch combo -_- it really isn't as hard if you use 99 or 77 input, but they changes are final and it's not my place to debate with asw. i was under the impression everyone was just going to take to training and practice the thing after seeing the footage from late nov, early dec. i mean, just disable air tech and run it a couple dozen times over...about anyone could get it down, especially since we have all this downtime before cp import. i'm just salty over j2c :/

I can only do the relaunch while facing right and with that new JC change, I no longer have to worry about my slow ass fingers to coordinate a J4C while facing left anymore. Also, I'm pretty sure that we will get used to the J2C change as well.

Also, I'm pretty sure that we will get used to the J2C change as well. i can get 20 reps facing the left, and a little over 10 from the right vs a non-teching dummy, of course. if you grind them out just like that in training, you'll get it in no time. right-facing/p1 orientation is my dominant side and i get more facing the left :/ it will only be a matter of time before i get caught up.

Well, ok. Thanks though, but I kinda find the opinions for the change subjective. It kinda all depends on the Bang playing if it is easier or harder, and more natural or weirder.
Dat_Boy_DeAnte Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 I was thinking about this for a while but I notice 5D is a lot better now in my opinion even thou it has no JC or SC BUT when you launch and your opponent it has a lot more untech time (so much you can follow up with 5C after wallbounce!) and proration which I can live with. 5D Couching forces standing 9/10 you have the advantage cause your opponent won't tech or else the will eat a command grab or block a income DP then punish, and even sometimes they won't want to deal with both some people won't recover anyway. Granted it wound be nice to have JC and SC at least it is worth using in combos this time!
YukiBlue Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 It wouldn't mind it just having JC. But whatever. Looks fine.
wilde_jagd88 Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 It wouldn't mind it just having JC. But whatever. Looks fine. raw 5d ground hit can be linked into 5a. don't quote me on this, but i think sessha bang did 5c 5d to 5a. i've been combing through some old footage on nico from nov-dec for confirmation, but i can't find the earliest footage of sessha in cp. zeth might know
Solemen Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Fatal 5C > 5D > 5A works. 5D CH is the best opportunity to get all 4 seals in one combo I believe. I notice that Bang's 623B acts differently when an opponent is airborne. (Push back is smaller compare to hitting the opponent standing or crouching) I might be wrong tho -3-... There isn't much potential in Bang's throwing multiple nails technique eh? [j236(Nail Button + D)]
GreekAngel Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 At least we found the command. Bang now has EX nails
YukiBlue Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 So 3C FC goes into 4.6K. Meterless. Midscreen. Using a ridiculously silly loop. Lol.
GreekAngel Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 (edited) Hey look guys. FRKZ overdrive, now with echoes http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=QSMMUGpnQnE#t=496s Well this answers my question about air command grab nerf Edited May 4, 2013 by GreekAngel
