FatalCounter Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 (edited) I am kind of disappointed we don't already have Amane proration or frame data while Azrael thread have all his proration data. I need to know the startup of B and C normals the recovery of his normals and specials moves. Those I posted weren't official and I can't believe his 5B has 11 frames startup, it is pretty fast I think it could be 8, 9 or 10 frames. Edited December 16, 2012 by FatalCounter

I am disappointed by Arcsys not by people over here. Because if we don't have Amane's proration data, this means Arcsys hasn't released them. Edited December 16, 2012 by FatalCounter
C0R Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 I don't believe Arc System works has ever released frame or proration data. Normally this information is obtained via a third party's extensive testing and release (such as arcadia magazine), and isn't available for quite some time after arcade launch. Though it can sometimes take up to a month or two after JP Console launch for the information to become publicly available.
DerQ Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 The document is moving a bit slowly as some of you might have seen (3 anonymous users viewing in real time :D). I'll try and get what I want to be done on my part first before giving opening the rights for editing. If you want them, I'd be glad to give them to you so long as I've seen you post a little around here just to make sure this remains clean and easy to use for everyone. All you'll need to do is send me an e-mail/google account via PM so I can grant editing rights to it ASAP. For now meetup time for me with the rest of Montreal to press BUTTONS

FatalCounter Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Proration data was posted slightly earlier in the thread: http://bbdabun.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-67.html I already posted it. that wasn't the official one.
Toasty Posted December 17, 2012 Author Posted December 17, 2012 Also, about 6A lifting ground opponents, it doesn't unless it's a CH, I saw that in one video but I can't remember which one, kinda shocked me though. Was it this one? And the combo right after that looks incredibly useful, since Shadow used a Hariken cancel to knock an airborne enemy into drill oki as opposed to following the normal combo route(s). Arakune may have used his invuln backdash to get out of it, Amane got a free punish for it anyway. I can see plenty of cases where it would be more useful to take this combo route to get lvl 3 drill instead of the extra damage from an air combo.
STenSatsu Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 I already posted it. that wasn't the official one. Oh, well I don't believe anyone has an official one yet. The mook hasn't come out right?
Boodendorf Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 (edited) Regarding Bullet vs Amane's intro, I'm not a pro at translating, but to me it sounds like: Bullet: "You again?!" Amane: "Ah! You're-!"/"Ah! You're that big sister(?)-!" Did we see any other intros for Amane? Obviously he'll have one against Carl but I haven't seen it either... Edit: By the way, I have yet to see any Amane user use his overhead to mix up when upclose, is it really that bad? Edited December 17, 2012 by Boodendorf
DerQ Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Alright, everything I wanted to or that my memory wanted to put into my notes document is done. Those who want to be granted editing rights, just give me the e-mail I'll grant editing rights to. Do it either here or via PM and I'd be glad to have more people on this with me :D Link to the document : https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jE6FsKBUkkFBw9XYbKrBOIGCXvaHiUqtkbdXaEWPA6c/edit I got a bit lazy by the end on finding video sources for the specials section and beyond.

You simply did a great job, Thank you so much for all time you put in and all interesting infos you added; If I add some things too, and help a bit. - jB actually hit three times not twice. - 2B doesn't have a decent reach, only 3C have a decent reach. - 2C is actually a low but doesn't sweep (I saw several times a yellow mark when a character was blocking high, so it is definitely a low attack) - j4C doesn't exist. Strange but according to japanese data, there are jC, j6C and j2C. They posted all his movelist and there is no j4C. - j2B, the second hit of jC and j2C hit mid. That means they are all overhead. You can see almost all his moves in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3mWDNtFURU . And if you want to check out the reach of his 2B, just watch this video, the last match between Shadow and Hima, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DjnoTEvqzM&list=UU1cefQMPUW2NSmtYdeYTKYw&index=6 He uses his 2B some times after 2A. [EDIT: Not enough showed to translate well] 2. It's not great. But I guess you can use it and not be completely slaughtered. On DerQ's side: It's looking pretty good! Two things A. Unblockable? Don't know what that is, considering it isn't the Hariken>6D or are you referring to the Crush Trigger being "unblockable"? B. I mentioned this in the questions thread, but no one answered it. If you whiff 6B (leaving you in air), and you connect with a j.C move, do you still get two jump cancels out of it? (Also frequently noticing, we never mention a j.C, only a j.6C, is it only a directional normal in air, and no neutral C? Asking this because we have a C that hits higher up than another C that goes straight.) C. 3C is comboable, not just a combo ender Edited December 18, 2012 by WillWork4Instal
DerQ Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 (edited) Certain data was taken from the first post of this thread. Figured it would make sense to put at least this info. I'll update accordingly on my lunch break and give you the rights by then. EDIT: - j2B, the second hit of jC and j2C hit mid. That means they are all overhead. I was correcting little mistakes you guys pointed out, but this one I don't get. How is j2B overhead when I linked a video that clearly shows someone blocking it low 0.o. Also wasn't it assumed that jumping C normals weren't overhead? I may be wrong in the end, but I was under the impression it would be pretty dumb for them to be. Also, you've been granted editing rights. Edited December 18, 2012 by DerQ
Boodendorf Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 (edited) Finally, an Amane vs Carl match, we hear a bit of Ama's special voice but since the player is pretty bad the match ends quickly. Also Carl's winning quote seems hilarious. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDZRiZlLCGU intro skipped though Edited December 18, 2012 by Boodendorf

Toasty Posted December 18, 2012 Author Posted December 18, 2012 - j2B, the second hit of jC and j2C hit mid. That means they are all overhead. Mid hits actually mean they can be blocked both high and low. The first hit of j.C and j.2C might be overheads though, since air moves usually are unless otherwise mentioned. Asking this because we have a C that hits higher up than another C that goes straight.) Sorry I must have missed that first question earlier, but you only get one jump cancel if you're in the air for any reason. You only get one jump on the ground and one in the air, so anything that puts you into the air removes your chance to jump from the ground. As for j.C, it's the diagonally downward move that's generally the first air C move in his combos and is the most common air C move used at neutral. Some of the stuff in the combo thread might make it more clear.
FatalCounter Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Mid attacks hitting low? I never knew that. In all capcom fighting games guides I have, mid attacks mean that they are overhead and you have to block them standing. Maybe in Blazblue guides it is different. Are you sure? I checked out the SF4 guide, they said high attacks are standing attacks that be blocked standing or crouching while Mid attacks have to be blocked only standing. And they added all jump attacks and overheads are mid attacks. NVM but I am pretty sure about this though.
shtkn Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 in japanese jargon high = block high or low mid = block high low = block low in america (at least the parts that i know) high = block high mid = block high or low low = block low what sf4 guide are you talking about?
Toasty Posted December 19, 2012 Author Posted December 19, 2012 Yes you're right in that the SF/Tekken descriptions for mid attacks are ones that must be blocked high, but everything I've ever heard regarding any airdasher lists mid as something that can be blocked both high and low. Something like Ragna's 5B would be considered a mid since it doesn't matter if you're crouching or standing to block it. If j.2B were an overhead then there would be no need in pointing out that it hits overhead since that's the standard for air moves, so since it can be blocked crouching we get the description of it being a mid (which would otherwise be unnecessary). Edit- Ninja'd.
DerQ Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 Congratulations Toasty on your fabulous modship
