I don't think CT has any impact on untech decay, else it would have probably been noted in the system explanation page as it's fairly important. I think CT are literally as it's presented : Damaging combo extension for 25 meter. You can slip a CT extension into an already existing route and ad like 800-1000 damage (at least in Amane's case). Though I have nothing to back those statements, anything there could be wrong.

I'm also wondering if OD changes anything. I'm guessing no and I'll also guess that the activation that freezes the game doesn't affect untech decay. Reason is simple, Bang's FRKZ would actually fuck up your combos considering how long it takes. I'm also wondering if the timer being frozen is any indication on the combo system or just as simple as it looks.

Oh and that info was just meant to be private, up until now.

J.a is his only overhead.

But with a character like him, mix up would be pretty broke. He's designed to open you up and disorient your defenses with relentless pressure and chip.

I thought j.b was overhead, though it could be fairly stupid I'd agree w/ all the fabhop cancels. Though you still get j.b, j.a gatling. Good enough to say your opponent can't down back for life.

I'd say he has mixups actually. It's all centered around grabs. His ground grab is probably his starter w/ best rewards (drill level 3, damage, lots of combo routes available). A lot of your movement will place you in a perfect setup for him to be in grab range (fabhopping in during pressure, fabhopping j.B to bust rolls, j.2B to bust rolls) The thing is that he can blow up grab tech attempts with j.2b or 6B as well as other options available in the game such TRM. But what if they OS into barrier? First, they're losing barrier they might want to save for later. Second, just fabhop crossup 2B and force them to second guess the OS.

All of these options imply amane will go in to open up someone, but if you don't want to go in, your stagger pressure by fabhoping backwards is safe as hell.

On a semi related note, I think that players aren't utilizing his drill oki sufficiently. Once you set it and they block, that leaves plenty of room for additional pressure, especially lvl 3 drill.

Not even TRM, you compared to Tager having a low/mid/grab game? I'm playing a low/mid/grab/left/right game. Whenever I'm in range to grab, I'm in range to fabhop behind you, land a cross up j.2B and since I have a second fabhop available, I can go into an air combo into Gosei ender or I can do forward fabhop (A version) into j.B, land, 5B, 5C, 6C, etc etc.

Anyway, mixups is for non-fabulous people. My mixup, pressure, BnB and cure to cancer is 5D

On a more serious note, this light discussion actually made me outline the mixup game much better and I think I'll make a full dedicated thread to showcase the rewards and risks of your pressure/mixup game

Crossups and being having the ability to j.2b or 6b and get good damage if they try a grab tech. I know people will say you can tech the throws on reaction but I just don't see it enough.

Even if you have the ability to react to it, you can't apply yourself to react to a grab if you're not thinking about it first. Otherwise, you're just teching them on prediction, you're making guesses.

As easy as it sounds, the info was not provided cleany in english in plain text. If I'm not mistaken, they're most likely blurry scans of japanese text... Everything in due time sadly :(

I can tell you this; he's working on it. it will take time due to the scans we received but once he's finished, everyone here will get the heads up.

Glad to hear that!! I really want to understand this character before playing him, he will be my big challenge in BBCP. The only character I want to play except my mains and Amane is Jubei. Hopefully, he will be a DLC or free.

My scans are not blurry. They are 4500x6000 @ 600 dpi png's around 30+ mb a piece for the black & white pages. Also would like to note no mods are looking at my scans now. Frame data has been translated into digital excel files.

No offense and I havn't seen them. I was just talking w/ pochp and I vaguely made myself an impression of one statement that went along the line of "Some characters are hard to read/slightly blurry". Though, 4.5k x 6k at 600 DPI is just over the top lol.

Nah it's alright. If pochp noticed a page that had problems he should direct it to me so I could rescan it.

I think you could sum it up as "I couldn't read this character". That or to emphasize how hard the process of translating these is when you don't speak/read japanese

Thank you very much, I'm sure this must have took some time to edit together into the wiki and it's really really appreciated. Some of our starters are really good. Surprised a bit a few stuff most notably how 5B is a surprisingly good starter and Reibu being P1 100 as well as normal starter.

Also, each drill level increase frame advantage of D moves by +2, godlike stuff at a first glance. That and grab (what I think is the most versatile starter already) has 100 P1
