This is true.

Anyways, me and Caer have now started our next combovid-project and I have some pretty cool stuff coming along. hopefully, and most probably, it will actually be A GOOD AC-CM WITH BAIKEN? (WTF?) :psyduck:

oh waiting waiting... btw do u have the one from slash in good quality?

if yes can u upload it for me ?

Style points > damage points. YZN FRC is the best move she has.

lol well yea it does but i think dmg is important

i can guess hellmonkey's dust combo: 5d,jhs,js,js,jd,js,jd, ad js ,jd frc tatami frc yz frc yz frc (u may need to add a jp/js depending on char) jd (tested and works)

lol for an AC Baiken vid, instead of having two baikens doing [j.D FRC]x N up away off teh screen, we need them to fly off the screen with [YZS FRC]x N.

so in the latest GameChariot vids with Maruken, there were three times that he used Baku -> Sakura into S follow-up: once against FAB, and twice against NakamuraB. i can see why he did it against FAB (low-life situation), but against NakamuraB, i don't understand: the combo doesn't do any damage; NakamuraB had half his life bar; and it seemed like Maruken just went along with attack patterns that weren't contingent on the Baku Sakura set-up. was it just to seal NakamuraB's Slash button? (cuz if that's the case, why wouldn't he use Baku Tsuki instead? it lasts longer than Sakura, and seals dashing and jumping.) anyways i'm kinda lost on this; i'll think about it some more but i'd appreciate any insight.

I believe he did tsuru and slash followup (baku -> s -> s) against FAB for the unblockable hit because obviously that would kill him. Against Nakamura he did sakura and slash followup (baku -> p -> s), which seals jumping and dashing, because it's far more disabling and really lets you walk all over them for it's duration. Normally you would be free to run up and throw or throw bait them all day, but nakamura's reaction to this was spamming forcebreak (making that a bit harder). This of course made nakamura waste all of his meter and not be able to follow up with anything when the forcebreak did connect, and still got maruken more damage while it lasted(apparently as seen, he got an extra 45% or so lol). The real question IMO is why seal slash instead of HS. I usually seal HS because you will always have that 1f throw option when you get close when they don't. Sealing slash, though, lets you get those extra few hits for a bit of damage (especially on Millia), and then if they tech they still are forced to fall into you because they have sealed jumping and dashing. I actually like it a lot.

Also, if you were wondering about why maruken got pot bustered after doing the slash followup to FAB, it's like a 1 or 2 frame link for the 5p/2k after that against standing, so i'm not surprised if he was going for it.

Heyyas, I'm just now getting into AC, havnt really played since the slash days. Can anyone post link to some good match vids and or combo videos. I'd prefer downloads if possible ty main interest is the new dust loop setups and perhaps seeing some youzansan FC setups into dustloop

you can find lots of match vids on youtube. a really good place would be here:

http://www.youtube.com/user/bigooooooohh

in the search bar, paste in バイケン or 梅喧 (maybe try ばいけん too, but you almost never see it in hiragana), and you'll come up with all of the baiken matches, which is most of the baiken matches ever posted online.

for combo vids, there are only *really* two, lol, and although you can also find them on youtube (at bigooooooohh's profile, or from others), they're actually from this site, originally:

http://mattariwahuku.himegimi.jp/index.htm

=> http://mattariwahuku.himegimi.jp/douga.htm

========================================

and next time, please don't post the (almost) same thing in three different threads. if you want vids, please just post it in the media/video thread, not in the combo thread or strategies thread.

Man, I remember seeing the Kihon video a while ago. I love the music people put to Baiken Combo Vids. Hadn't seen Komorebi before though? Hmm I wonder if working j.H -> Tatami is worth working in to any real combos... I only ever start off combos with that.

Posted

yes it's worth it but it's pretty character specific when you can work it in in combo... like against sol, order sol, venom, eddie, slayer, potemkin, and faust you can do the various ways of hittin into j.D IAD tatami j.HS tatami j.S D AD j.S D with some variation on character stuff...

Here's some vids from the first time I've ever been recorded, I've been in multiple tournaments where I was the only top 8/5 player who didn't get recorded(I'm somehow really good at avoiding the recording tv's even though I want to be recorded). So here's some of my matches!

If it's easy enough i'll upload them on you tube sometime next week(i don't know how to do it though).

http://www.megavideo.com/v/LCGRF5QH84fa1544cca5e2e72132e91012552a79

That one was tough, it was the first time I had played a good A.B.A, her hit box makes her really tough for baiken to combo and I wasn't used to it, i end up fighting thisi guy FOUR times between 2 double elimination tournaments.

http://www.megavideo.com/v/HWPH0QNR9c565f9a18a3a87ef8c793b4f5af6eff

Here's where I finally redeem myself and defeat the hated ABA player after 3 horrible losses(the 3rd fight doesn't have a 'watch' option for some reason, i'll get it up later). this match puts us up to the semi finals

http://www.megavideo.com/v/86SLOIK60cd5e48a9a10fcf0828bcde861329a6a

Here's my team taking down one of the teams slated to win the tournament, the testament player won singles and has placed top 2 for a while in most of th enorthwest tournaments. I usually do pretty well against him, but end up getting eliminated by someone else(there's a zappa i regularly lose too, and an eddie i regularly lose too).

Well those are my first every recorded matches, they are from forever ago, so there are some things I do a lot better now, anyway tell me how y'all like em! Any critique is also more than welcome, I'm always trying to improve my game!

edit: one thing I notices, I TK yozansen more often/more consistently now, I also don't jump around like a fool as much(although I still do sometimes).

It's a double post, but that last post was a while ago, and i've got a new videos(there might be another one with me vs hellsap later)!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-4177oy3Ms&feature=channel_page

So the first round of this is terrible and I feel like a mega scrub for playing like that, after about 2 and a half minutes I start playing better, I'd still love advice on anything I do poorly. Also tips on the dizzy match in general would be greatly appreciated. I feel like I've gotten worse in the last couple months so now I'm motivated to get back up to speed(and then even better!).

edit: also here's one of the old videos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3AeNRKEWVI

any tips on that one would also be great! The other vids i have are too long to put on you tube and I don't have/know how to get free video editing software.
