Surf Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Not much Bullet players showing up much at all. The only one that is that's worth watching now is N-O. Everyone else is just subpar. Seems like all the new characters besides Azrael aren't really being played much any longer.
SoWL Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 I wouldn't really call the rest of the players subpar, some of them manage to show good results most of the time, even if they're not on N-O's level. But yeah, doesn't seem like she's as popular nowadays.

She doesn't really look bad, just not incredibly unique, so people are not as willing to switch mains. Also this may have already been mentioned, but are 6D and 2D still punishable on block with higher heat levels?
SoWL Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Yeah, her playstyle is one of the most common in the game, with Ragna, Makoto, and many others having many similar tools. Why would anyone learn a whole new character when they can just pick up good old Rags and do the same thing, except with ID? I suppose that 6D and 2D become more safe, too, simply because you do need something in return for the Heat-Up loss. Anyways, the framedata should be out soon, so we'll know it for sure then.

Something like stuff > D (cancel) > throw? you totally can. ive seen bullets do it as a sort of feint before, i think at its fastest its about a 20f feint. i dont know if doing a throw after is viable, but im pretty sure you can use it to reset strings. sort of like staffless litchi(..prior to bbcp, sob) doing 623d[e] cancels, except bullet also has a threat of actually striking, making it more like a strike/strike mixup than a "reaction test".

Or late airdadh j.C, but that wont work if they roll out of the way. There are a couple more i took note of but ill edit my post with them when in home
S.F.W Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Also, with the block strings, I was just wondering about that b/c some I see in the videos are either: - 2A, 5B, 2B, 2C - 2A, 5B, 2B, 6C Is it possible to whiff the first hit of the 2C and performing some type of mixup or just flat out hit with the second hit of it? And after 6C i see people either try to use Lock - On and try to bait an attack for a CH or j.C. So, im guessing that could help people out alot with hit confirming since her general oki revolves around a (meaty?) j.C.

But some blockstrings I had in my notes were far 5B > 5C > dash 5B > 2B > dash 2A 2AA > 5B > 5C > charge 236A > dash 5C > 2A I guess I only copied down two because I got the general idea of her normals and strings and didn't really bother to do more. Im not sure what you mean by whiffing the first hit of 2C. Im pretty sure she can't feint it, and both hits are guaranteed to come out when you do it. At most, I'd say the only mixup you can really get out of it is 2C(1) > RC > 6A. Even if you hit them with the second hit only, you'd still have to Rapid cancel to continue with a combo.

I really REALLY like Bullet and since I'm new to this game, I've been doing a lot of homework on her. But lets be realistic.....With them boobs......Life is hard. (But then again Litchi has that perfect balance~)

Do you go for the additional Heat-Up, hoping to get more damage on the next combo, or do you spend it right now to keep your damage output more constant? It's not the most obvious thing when you're watching the replays, but it does matter. you mind if I request you on PSN? oricon Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Main reason people say Bullet is just another Makoto is simply because shes another rushdown unarmed character so to most people that instantly = Makoto outside of that her move set is way different.

I think I'm gonna start out just using it as I get it on lvl 1 combos, although that could change depending on how it feels/works out.
